Yeah. People who have been through tragedy tend to be rather fond of their family. This is a great example. The Straw Hat Crew from One Piece is another great example.
Zagan is just as adorable as nephy, thats rare in these kinds of anime. Usually the male leads are exasperated harem protags, or dense numbskulls. Zagan is like the anti-kazuya.
Yeah, but this one is stoic, intelligent, and kindhearted. With eyes for only one elf. And has a cute dragon for a daughter. A welcome change.
Love how both Zagan and Nephy have the same problem: they often speak without realizing what they've just said. And we always get the complimentary "wait for it" moment before they blush so hard they raise my sugar levels in a dangerous fashion.
I got about 15 sugar rushes in a row after this.
They're both adults. They're both have long lifespans and will see Fol who is also long-lived to adulthood. U~n! I aprove of this adoption!

Its funny how she panics, not even wondering how elf + human = dragon. Plus, no one can have a pregnancy and have their kid grow to full literacy in a couple of days. All the clues are there that she is their adopted daughter, plus even Manuella thinks everything is ok. So its all good.

Is this just another series like "I've been killing slimes for 300 years", a fantasy/isekai series with no real plot?
No. MC was given the title archdemon, only given to the 13 strongest sorcerers (the other 12 elected him for the position after the oldest one, and Nephy's previous owner, died). There are a lot of sorcerers that want that title for themselves, and will try to take it (one has already tried, planning to use Nephy and another girl as sacrifices in a demon summoning ritual, which was in the previous two episodes). And the other archdemons have their own plans for both of them.
The reason Fol is there is because she wants to get stronger in order to get revenge for her father's death.
No, it has a really good plot.
