i've seen it , lance henrikson and william forsythe give great performances
Everyone 35 or older knows this gem. We loved it, it kills most of the B.S. today!
I ain't 35 but I know it I seen it many times it's a pretty good movie its somewhat similar to another movie I like which is cobra with Stallone at least the begging is almost the same.
@@gokumui1890 it's pretty similar to Charlie Sheen's Beyond the law
31 I've loved this movie since I was a lil kid
@@HD-cp1fg Stone Cold is much better.
This guy was perfect to play into a DUKE NUKEM MOVIE.
Yes , he would but Duke Nukem needs to be straight up R-Rated and not a Cartoon version of Duke games. Duke Nukem was great until................that last game. Of course i bought the deluxe version and I love playing duke.
Hell yea
or a random Terminator like Franco Columbu
Universal soldier
Yes...my greatest guilty pleasure. Somebody had to say it. Such good memories with my Grandfather. Thank you so much!
The bit were he jumps 30 feet from a helicopter through a window straight onto solid floor & gets up like it's nothing & starts shooting everyone! 😂😂😂
It could happen...
Seen it at the theater. I loved it instantly. I grew up on motorcycle club stories. This was a rarely good biker movie for it's time.
I already wondered why The Boz didn’t breakout after this movie. I thought it was really good.
i remember this one very well. what is cool, look at Lance Hanriksens body at 51yo.
"Brian Bosworth is...Stone Cold!"...from the trailer.
Audience member: "Like his career!". Laughs....
I was there, heck I was the "Audience member"...
Yeah, remember this. Very fun 'good-bad' movie, and I think your examination of it is pretty much spot on.
Take out Henrksen and Forsythe, and most of the fun suddenly goes. Not to take anything away from Boz, who actually did really well in it, but the villains make it what it is.
Few beers, some pizza and this flick. Solid evening.
Perfect cable movie. Bosworth had a future in cinema, he was good.
This movie was one of my 90s childhood favs!
A guilty pleasure.... Henriksen and Forsythe are AWESOME in this flick!
I watched this on original release, and watched it again last time as late as 2018.
I always liked this movie.
I loved this movie when I was a little kid living in Tacoma, it's actually a pretty badass action flick
One of my faves of that era
Legend has it that Brian Bosworth would walk his pet mullet 3 times a day
Awesome movie. One of the best rifftrax as well.
Saw this movie when it was a new release at a local video rental store, yes it was on VHS and yes I'm old. I was a teenager and it changed my life. Seen it more times than I can count!
oh yeah seen this one a ton of times, Henriksen and Forsythe great duo of character actor villains
There's a stone cold film you haven't seen based on a book, about an ex soldier who's now an old man who offers homeless people a meal and a bath kills em and dresses em up in army clothes, creating his own dead army in his basement! A reporter investergates the diserperances and catches him!
I totally forgot about Beyond the Law that was a great flick.
One of my favorite childhood movies
Please do Johnny Handsome. Seeing Hendriksen here reminded me if how he and Ellen Barkin were so good in it.
Ohhh this movie! It's all kinds of post-80s cool. Julie Strain sighting at 6.09.
Thanks for doing this. I used to always watch this movie on HBO (Yeah, remember when they actually had MOVIES back then? Yeah, so do I.) when I was a kid. It brings back memories (And it's still a cheesy but fun and cool movie.).
Loved and still love this movie!
So glad you reminded me of this movie and Ford Fairlaine!!!!
I remeber watching this back in the day thinking it was a movie about stonne cold steve austin lol..seen it when i was older...good movie.
I’ve seen this movie so many times that I can’t remember how many
Yeah, I remember seeing this one on cable a couple of times in the 90's. Henrickson and Forsythe really do make the film what it is...a reasonably enjoyable action film that you don't want to think about too much.
I remember we rented this from Erol's when I was a kid. I really liked this movie. Need to find it on bluray if possible
True definition of cheesy 80's flick, but always enjoyed it.
Douglas Fisher Eighties, nineties they're all a blur.
This film kicks ass, underrated gem.
Seen it! Has always been my favorite B movie!!
i've seen it and it rocks!
I remember renting this many times when I was a kid.
Lolol he even qoutes William forsythe saying a bunch of people come up to him to talk about this movie. It wasn't a blockbuster but it is still a pretty well known movie for its time.
Chains and Ice Hensley are on the list of my all time favorite action movie baddies.... If only they put someone like Kiefer Sutherlandor any up and coming actors at the time to play Stone
it was a huge hit on vhs back in the day. especially in europe. made its money back way over.
Ha! I was just watching this movie this morning! Well, the RiffTrax version, which is a great way to watch any action movie. Even (or maybe especially) halfway good ones like this. I keep my home-burned copy of this flick sandwiched between R.O.T.O.R. and Radical Jack.
I DID see Stone Cold at about the age of nine or ten. I've recreated the send off of the one gentleman with horses in the place of motorcycles many times in Red Dead Redemption 2.
I just watched this movie on cable. I missed the beginning part of it. I would have to say 'YES, it is a good movie.' It achieved what a good movie should achieve and that is ENTERTAIN.
You asked & answered, "Is it a good movie? NO.
Is it a fun movie? YES."
Well, that's what makes a movie GOOD, is its ability to be fun and entertaining! I wasn't sure what I was watching. I had to research it online in order to know what it was called, but while watching it and listening to the film's score, it came across to me as a John Carpenter film. It had the LOOK and SOUND of a John Carpenter movie. Needless to say, "Stone Cold" won me over, and now I must find a DVD copy of this movie and add it to my collection. It's that good of a movie.
Me and 4 of my buddies all had a house together in the 90's in Sacramento and this movie was played many a drunken nights coming home from the bar. Some of it was filmed in Bay St. Louis, MS where I was a deputy 10 years later. Strange how that happened. heh heh
I was 11 when this movie came out.
I remember watching this in 1994 and a man throws a grenade at bosworth even though in the shot just a second ago he's had his arm snapped in two. This movie is awesome.
I saw this movie shortly after it came out but I swear it’s one of the lost in the dark movies that never gets a 2 AM showing now lol.
I think I saw an ad for this as a kid in the VHS version of “Robot Jox.”
Badass Americana style.. Awesome sound track!
Great movie, I still have this movie on vhs
Gonna track it down now. Thanks.
I actually remember seeing this in the movies.
Great Video. Great work. Even though Seen this movie many times. Actually own it on DVD. Lance Henriksen plays an awesome bad guy and William Forsythe is great as well. This is definitely the best movie "The Boz" did during his film career. Non stop Action and excitement. If you haven't seen it, definitely worth a look.
I've seen it, about fifty times I've seen it.
YES.......
Wicked movie from back in the day 👍
I loved this movie, my original introduction to blue meth or P2P. Way b4 Breaking Bad
I wouldn't sniff that if i was you.
Criminally underrated.
I loved this movie when it came still do
Too much bass in your audio. Or over compressed? too "hissy" as well... maybe a new plugin you are using? Either way, not pleasant. Otherwise thanks for all the great work ;)
i totally used to watch this movie it Fn Rulz!!
This was the first movie I ever saw Lance Hendricksen or William Forsythe in! I think they made the movie, because the plot didn't. The Boz actually held up his end mullet and all! Very underated cult film!
Saw it in theaters and loved it for the most part
5:15 "Aisle 4" is my old 90's punk/ska band's name! lol
Never saw? I used to watch this as a kid over n over haha
The whole movie is here on UA-cam. It's where I first watched it a couple years ago, nobody has bothered to take it down...
Iconic Movie!!
I watched this on VHS years ago.
Only the Strong was also a good flick! Buy yes, Stone Cold is a must watch :)
Saw it in the theater when I was a kid.
Saw it. Loved it.
I rented it on vhs in the '90s. Loved the trailer back then. Totally forgot the story. Never found it on dvd.
Lance is always my Fave....
I watched stone cold on vhs all the time in my teens
Fun fact: my entire family and I were paid as extras for this movie ($35 each), and we got paid an extra $50 for use of the van.
lol I hate action movies but I remember watching this and liking it - 'twas a pleasant surprise...
I saw this in the movie theatre. I remember the fact that The Boz doesn’t save ANYBODY!!!
Awesome action flick.
Say that when i was a kid. Good movie
Box offices didn't matter near as much back in the old days they made a killing in vhs sales to rental stores and these movies was all the rage in the 80s and 90s
I love this movie
You gotta love that in the 80's and 90's criminals were robbing grocery stores with military grade weapons LOL! "Cobra" did this too and it was equally awesome and hilarious.
This film is so fucking badass, classic 90 at its best!
This was a great action film that deserved to do better. I think of it often. Surprised Boz didn't do have a better movie career. Probably due to bad management.
Eerily similar plot to a low budget Australian film from 1974 where an undercover cop called Stone infiltrates a bikie gang but misses out on the Hollywood happy ending
I saw the biker in the bar from Terminator 2 that Arnold got the clothes from. I'd like to think these movies are in the same universe, LOL.
They had the full movie on youtube. Dont know if it's still there. Saw this movie when I was young
great review (Love this movie to death its one of those Action films that should’ve made its money back at the box office) I think the lack of promotion didn’t help i don’t ever recall seeing any tv commercial for this film (and i remember all sort of tv spots growing up) there’s a alternative cut of it from Germany my guess it’s a rough workprint that’s probably the original rated X cut
The Adventures of Ford Fairlane was boss af tho
I love this movie! I just so happened to meet one of the producers some years ago, and I told him how much I enjoyed this movie, and he basically said, it was a piece of garbage (he’s gone on since to much more prominent, financially successful films with mass critical acclaim) and it was like I had to convince him that this film is actually a masterpiece!!
I won't lie I love the Movie Stone Cold and Charlie Sheen in Beyond the law.. They're both good solid movies. It's a shame we moved away from that but as the 80's ended people got scared of Politics in Hollywood. When we could have been the Shakespears of the modern day a lot of franchises lost their roots and soul.
I purchased the Rifftrax verson of this. It is actually pretty good, even without the commentary.
This was great!!
I saw this back in the day. I remember the giant lizard pet. I ended up getting an iguana because of this movie lol
I remember it well 😄
seen it I was all ways told it was based off a biker club out here in AZ
I saw this years ago on tv.
Own it. Nice representing homie
Awesome film! So underrated! 😮👌
Saw this at the Drive in movies when it came out. I still call my buddies 'Chains' as a tough joke.
