I enjoyed this video immensely, but I have a question. Do you have any pointers on relaxing your muscles of the buttocks and spine when practicing Zhan Zhaing?
Yes, remember that the term "tuck the tailbone" is a misleading cue. Don't force the tailbone under the body. Instead just think about it slightly dropping or sinking downwards. Dropping the hips does not mean that we need to thrust the pelvis forward or engage the abdomen muscles. This is overexertion. You should be able to find a stable position without overstressing either the buttocks, spine, or abdomen. I hope this helps clarify.
Thanks for the thorough and clear explanation! One of my legs is 3/4" shorter than the other, and I find myself sinking the knee of my longer leg lower than the other during standing meditation to find even positioning at the level of the hips. Is this advisable or would your recommend something else?
Clear, concise explanation. Thanks
Well done! Very clear instruction!
Good on ya Mr. Pinnick, keep the content coming! ^^

Thank you for your reply. It is 4:30a.m. and I’m about to start my practice and I will use your tip.
Thank you sir the advice was excellent. Now if I may be so bold as to ask, when is the video on the five positions of Zhan Zhang coming out.
@@josephhazzouri1373 I can add it to the list, though the typical order that I practice has only 4 postures.
@@WudangWay I am a student you are the teacher I’m with you I can’t wait for them to be posted. Thank you.

I also have this issue, did you get used to it?
@@FishJokes most of the time. Focusing less on having perfect posture and more on the feeling of groundedness has seemed to help.
