Eric progressing into Bode's betrayal completely on accident was so perfect lol. Thought he was just gonna have a quick chat with Cordova and then go look at a rumor, but instead BANG! Made it even more wild for him 😅
One thing I really love about the Cere sequence (that I didn't catch my first playthrough) is that we are able to see it cause Cal used his Psychometry on her body. So simple in hindsight, but so good
Also a lot of people miss that Vader is long gone by the time Cal gets there, because the fire is gone and there's ash EVERYWHERE

I love the Cere vs Vader fight, Cere, like Anakin, fell victim to her fears, but rose above it and found strength in it. That’s why she’s the perfect Jedi to give Vader a run for his money. Where Anakin could not rise above his fears and succumbed to them, she rose above them, and found a connection to the force that I don’t think many prequel era Jedi were able to.
I know this video was made from two different streams but it's funny that Eric seems to change from white to black clothes at 44:15... almost like the game itself took a darker turn and he dressed accordingly.

I genuinely believe that this Bode Plot Twist is one of the best of all of Star Wars, the best of the Disney Era, and be careful if it is not the most shocking since the Prequel Era, no one, absolutely no one saw it coming in no moment, and although I didn't like that Dagan was so little used, having Bode as the final villain led to a more shocking and emotional closure
Initially I was mad that Dagan died so "early" but the writers clearly wanted the game to have it's plot climax at the end of act 2 (except for actually reaching Tanalorr) and then use the rest of the quest as an examination on how Cal was affected by the losses he recently suffered.
Not really since it was obvious that either he was going to die to make the ending bitter-sweet or that he was going to be revealed as an empire spy. (The real surprising thing was that he was a jedi.)

23:48 God I love the lightsaber choreography in this cutscene. It’s not underwhelming like the sequels and it’s not stupidly over the top and unnecessary like the prequels. It’s perfect. All lightsaber choreography should be like this. More like the OT and Ahsoka.
OT is honestly my least favorite of the choreography. Prequels are my favorite, and then sequels. I don't dislike the OT fights. Just don't like them as much as the rest.
The score on this game is absolutely phenomenal
Cere vs Vader is one of the best Star Wars scenes of 2023. The fact that they didn’t even send any Inqusiitors to Jedha, but they sent Vader himself for her is already proof enough of how powerful she is. And even though the fight can’t end any other way besides her pulling a lucky escape, she still tears his ass apart. And he knows it. That first phase of the fight he’s not taking it seriously. But when he gets damaged, that’s when he realizes he needs to stop playing with his food. And even when he does straighten up, he still barely escapes with his life and because he had to cheat at the very last second. And he doesn’t even get to enjoy his victory. He just weakly staggers away, reminding us of the broken man underneath the armor.
And then the final shot of Cal, Merrin, BD, and Greez gathered around Cere and Cordova’s bodies in a dark parallel of that hopeful ending of the first game - showing the family has been irrevocably broken. Cal hugging Merrin, BD going to his master’s side, and Greez being completely silent. God.
Seeing Eric experiencing this game for first time is equal for me to new Bad Batch season my first experience.
I love using the purple lightsaber when using the darkness ability because it makes it look red. At first I thought that it just turns red normally which would've been awesome, but the purple/red made that scene so much cooler.
Man whole stream on Monday was insane. I love Erics reaction to the betrayal - love the jaw drops 😂

Sorry to disappoint you, but people aren't mad about Cere being strong, manly because she is a well written character. It has nothing to do with her being a black/female character (which I assume is what you are implying by people getting "mad"). What people get mad about is that we told that we are supposed to accept and celebrate a poorly written character simply because that character is an "oppressed minority". If the character is well written and somebody we can sympathize with, we love them regardless of race/gender. But when "social justice" is crammed down our throats we will always reject that because it is lazy writing.
@@petrolheadgames92 Thanks for the novel, but my comment had literally nothing to do with her being black or a woman. I’ve just seen tons of Vader fanboys complaining about her putting up a fight against Vader. It’s annoying because they have this idea that Vader is some untouchable god that’s incapable of being challenged in any way and when he is it’s somehow an insult to his character. Are you a Stormtrooper? Because you sure missed my point. 😂
@@JK_of_Todayif some of those fanboys read so,e of the canon Vader comics, they’d fs change their tone. Vaders been close,to death many times, one of the fights the only way he could’ve won is by distracting the Jedi by flooding a city because the Jedi was overwhelming Vader in a 1v1. He’s never been invincible
Perhaps I was to quick to jump to conclusions. Thought you were making a passive aggressive reference to the Reva/Kenobi Series controversy and suggesting that the same thing was going to happen with Cere. @@JK_of_Today
@@petrolheadgames92 people do say those things. when the game came out, I argued with more people than Id like to rememeber who all thought it was absurd for Cere to to put up a fight against Vader, and claimed the only reason that section was in the game was because "woke". Theyre wrong, of course, but people do think this.
Why do I get the feeling that Cal will go even more dark side in the next game?
