Nihari, haleem & biryani all three dishes have karachi origins so it's wrong to say karachi food don't have 'taste'.
It's true unlike Dubai, Abu Dhabi has shortage of Pakistani restaurants. The only family Pakistani restaurant that we tried once had very bad food. So if their food is good, the venture will be a success.

Agree with you, I am.not jealous but I feel bad about her comments that only lahore knows the taste...Haleem, Biryani, Nehari Paya not belongs to lahore like Murgh chana is available in karachi but belongs to lahore....I tried so many restaurants in Dubai didn't find good taste of karachi foods only in some like Delhi restaurant deira, karachi durbar etc. May Allah give success to her restaurant ameen

Delhi Darbar, Deira is the oldest selling the best authentic Nihari. Rest of their food including biryani is finger licking good. You can't find that taste any other place in entire UAE. Even though Daily Restaurant in Bur Dubai claim to be their off shoot but there's a vast difference in food taste. Like, their nihari tastes like left over beef gravy instead of nihari. Same with rest of their food. Karachi Darbar also has a few selective dishes that are really good but most of their food also cant beat Dehli Darbar's authentic taste of each dish. A close match to Dehli Darbar nihari taste used to be 'Pak Ghazi' in Sharjah. They opened more branches in bur Dubai & Deria later but guess couldnt maintain the same quality of food. And I'm not sure if it's the same now as I speak from memories from 15 years ago.

Noor E Hidayat, its true until the arrival of 'karachi biryani' in Lahore, the locals used to term 'palao' as biryani. Still many places do.
Being a combination of karachi/lahore (one parent from karachi & one from lahore), I myself put tomato puree to make gravy of kofta saalan & qorma. So am I doing that wrong? If not tomatoes pure then what do you put to make the gravy? Maybe we need to talk, Noor E Hidayat 🤔
And I think pasanday are thin pieces of beaten meat, aren't they?
& to this date I want to understand the meaning of the word 'khaabay'. I have read it at a few places in the city of lahore. So is khaabay an equivalent of khaanay? 😁🤭

Noor & Sleek: I like to share my experience while I was in Lahore for 20 days from my office i asked my peon Biryani is available here? He said yes sit very good he bring so-called Biryani and you can't believe that white Rice (like we made khichri) and 1 pcs of chicken on it called Biryani...every culture have different taste of food we can't say that he don't know about taste like in dubai you will not like the malabari food taste but you can tell them bcoz they have different culture....
