@@GuacamoleyNacho It was during a reread I did of the book two months ago. I believe I looked it up to see how it compares to my imagining of Piranesi’s House, which I must say is very different! This building is a lot more sophisticated and ornate than how I imagined the House to be. Still very exciting that it’s real; I live in the US, so I didn’t know.
@@GuacamoleyNacho For the most part, yes, I find that I am usually disappointed by how adaptations portray scenes from my favorite books. Imagination is limitless, but real life isn’t unfortunately. In this case however, it’s just different, not worse. I imagined the House as more simple, mostly beige bricks on the inside and bare floors except for the statues and floods. It’s really interesting to hear how other imagined it.
Nice building, but what's the point of the city kind of defacing the outside with that "Welcome to Manchester" sign? I would think people know where they are by the time they arrive at that building...
Wasn’t built when they said it was this building was found. Whoever built it it wasn’t our civilisation when cranes didn’t exist and people went around on horse back and cart. Get a grip
i bet those salford folk left it as a joke , get a grip will you , this is our civilisation that built this manchester was the birthplace of capitalism , and thats our civilisation if you can call it that , now
Very good job, Kathryn. I learned a lot from you in these 5 minutes alone. Awesome bldg.
