Yoda Matrix I’m jealous at the fact that I will never reach the level of coolness that Harrison Ford reached in his lifetime. Like seriously... this guy is Han Solo, Indiana Jones, Deckard... three of the most iconic characters ever!
@@adam-ll1yf "the level of coolness". :D You will never get the level of H.F. for simply you never will be H.F. himself. You can get the coolnes of Adam Taucher and I am sure you will succed the same "level" , as long as you stop whining the toxic rubbish about yourself of course. You have no right to do such a thing to Adam Taucher. This is not cool. This is crime. You deserve to get some punches from Adam Taucher as a traitor.
I appreciate how straightforward Ford is about how vapid these questions are. It always kind of disappoints me when actors respond to these absurd questions with canned enthusiasm.
He actually makes a very good point about how green screens and CGI can ruin the acting atmosphere for an actor - maybe this is a factor that explains why so many CGI films, apart from looking nice, are absolute crap
Harrison Ford just plain ol' fashioned rules - if Kurt Russell was Star-Lord's Dad then I hope it's not offensive to say I think Harrison is Star-Lord's Granddad
u damn right, it would have been awesome to have nolan, but i personally would not want nolan to have done it, because i love nolan's original films, and i don't want him helming another franchise unless it was "BOND" at least for ONE movie.
One would think that you would be so captivated by Ford that you listen to what he says.. And not ask a question he just answered seconds ago. Seriously, get someone that is actually capable of interviewing someone properly.
I imagine he parked it there because he has a better adventure to go on than give this millenial douche an interview. You know he just dyed the gray in his hair to look more mature.
I love how every time Harrison Ford got a question about how hard he worked on the movie - He always gave an answer like "Uhhhh yeah no shit I try to do a good job" 😆
You know, watching this interview really conveys the loss of love for the magic of Cinema. Not in the way of his performance, but rather for the fans love of his beloved portrayed characters. Makes me realize that I'm not a Harrison Ford fan. I'm a Han Solo, Indiana Jones, and Rick Decard fan.
From all the interviews I've been viewing recently, I've come to think that Harrison Ford feels particularly proud about being in Bladerunner movies. The others are great commercial blockbusters, but he just loves being part of the story told by Scott and Villeneuve. In his own words, being an "assistant storyteller" to this "cathedral of a movie" that Bladerunner is.
what does this even mean? Lol, this man played these characters dont disparage what he's given to these movies its not just about the characters imagined by the writers alone.. its the actors who tie it all together.
love the uni-directional microphone - Harrison seems to love it, and knows how to use his deep voice to get his points across. Alot of other celebs don't really know what to do with that mic. But Harrison's old-school!
Just saw this last night. I REALLY enjoyed it. It was pretty damn long though. Like almost a 3 hour movie. But wow it was incredible. Visually and storywise it's really amazing.
Harrison ford talking about the artist roger deakins is, made me so happy! And also I love how he said they used a lot of practical sets because why would you need roger deakins if they were just using pure green screens!
Love seeing him actually excited to promote the sequel. His attitude with Star Wars made it clear he didn't want to return with that franchise, don't blame him.
Stepped into a church I passed along the way Well, I get down on my knees and I pretend to pray. You know the preacher likes the cold He knows I'm gonna stay. California, California dreamin', on such a winters day.
11:58 "Wait a second, 'notoriously committed'? You mean he cares about what he's doing? There's a lot of that going around. He's not the only one." Damn right, Harrison Ford. "Are you a perfectionist on set?" "Yeah. Compared to what, not giving a rat's ass?" C'mon Ricky, what are these silly questions, usually you're better than this.
Blade Runner was commented by Robert J. Sawyer as being the last great breakthrough SF film that probably ever will be. Even if that's debatable in reflection of The Matrix, Children Of Men, District 9 and Anon, Mr. Sawyer's comment is still enough to make me take my own SF fandom much more seriously. Thank you, Harrison, for bringing Han Solo, Indiana Jones and Rick Deckard full circle. 🌎🌌🖖🏻
I love Harrison Ford's work. I am excited about BR2049 as well. Regarding this interviewer, I've seen him interview other performers and he is extremely green behind the ears when it comes to interviewing. And like others pointed out, he doesn't seem to pay attention to responses by the interviewee to his questions, often asking the same question twice after it's already been answered.
Why does the host always have to ask silly questions? You can't ask silly questions to Harrison Ford! Because he burns you with his sarcasm and you don't even notice! ahah!
One of my favorite Ford interviews. I enjoy seeing him talk about something with an attitude that conveys his interest and intrigue in the projects he's working on. Especially considering how reluctant he was to return as Han, it's nice to see that he was actually appreciative of and interested in this role and story.
this interviewer is messed up, Ford at the presence but he does not even listen and asks boring questions. BR 2049 is scifi masterpiece, deep and smart movie. Wasted opportunity.
Being from Hungary it's kind of sad to hear that he didn't have a good time here. I was under the impression that he was. But, of course, who would want to be away from home and family for such a long time. I wouldn't.
This definitely has parallels to the first film just like Deckard Agent K is paired up with a replicant. The new replicant that's going to hunt Ryan's character is an amalgamation of Sean Goings character and little bit of Rutger Hauers character from the original film. I think in one of the trailers they teased Sean Youngs character through a photograph.
Hollywood produces little more than glorified excuses to show people and other human likenesses get killed on screen. Given the previews, the new Blade Runner seems to put the emphasis on "glorified" - still the same as it ever was. STOP THE SHITTY SCREEN VIOLENCE
This interviewer is the worst! No wonder Ford doesn't like doing these things! "In the last few years you've been bringing back characters like Han Solo, Blade Runner". Uh, Blade Runner is not the character! The character's is named Deckard!
"were you looking forward to exploring the relationship between artificial intelligence and ... blah, blah , blah" - can't stand stupid questions from people trying their damnest to sound intelligent. Just BE intelligent ... reporters should try harder to be more authentic! Feel sorry for Harrison ... he was suffering.
He sounds like a functional alcoholic. Liked the part about the advantages of real sets where the actors don't have to be told what is supposed to surround them over the green screens. True cinema.
At 8:58 I wouldn't be surprised if people who are into classic cars may have been more interested in what was going outside the window than what Harrison was saying (at least for a few seconds or so :-) That might be a red classic Circa mid-1960s Mustang, if my memory (No Blade Runner pun intended) serves me.
Wow! This interviewer is so bad. Harrison, in answering the first question, mentions that he was sent and subsequently read (and was intrigued by) the developed novella, and then in the follow up question the interviewer talks about the novella (as if he's the one introducing the fact) then asks if Harrison had read it. It took Harrison aback a bit, but like a true pro he continued. Does this interviewer even listen to his guest's answers?
Niander Wallace's goal from the clips they released on UA-cam looks like wants to replace the human population with replicants. See Leto's character as this hybrid type of character who can be a human and a replicant is kind of scary.
Big problem with the title of this video it isn't Harrison Fords movie in fact he doesn't even like blade Runner!! And his performance in the sequel was shocking bad!
Man seeing Harrison ford like this makes me really sad. I grew up on his body of works and its scary to imagine a world where he won't be making movies.
I always wondered why they didn't implant artificial memories into all the nexus 6 replicants so they actually think they're human like Rachel rather them being aware that they're artificial with a limited lifespan. That would've circumvented the whole nexus 6 revolt in the first movie. Oh yeah I guess if they did that there would be no blade runner so I kind of answered my own question lol. Thanks and goodnight x
Dan Turner the memory implant thing was probably costly and not efficient enough. Rachael is introduced as this brand new model with the feature, there's a possibility it just wasn't widely possible at the time the movie took place.

Actors are assistant storytellers. What a beautiful way to say it.
I rarely go to a theater to see a movie now days but this is one I want to see on a big screen with big sound.
"He sent me a novella and I was intrigued by it"
"Did you read it?"
"-___________-"
Harrison is such a legend
I appreciate how straightforward Ford is about how vapid these questions are. It always kind of disappoints me when actors respond to these absurd questions with canned enthusiasm.
"Notoriously committed? You mean he cares about what he's doing"
Wish more people would understand this and ease up on Leto
He mailed a pig corpse, anal beads, and used condoms to his coworkers unannounced.
PixelSwitch7 Lmao that’s not all true and it’s not that serious, cast members joked and laughed it off, I suggest you should too.
they are just like doctors
That wasn't true. Stop believing fucking rumors. Leave him alone. He's a really professional actor.
NEWSFLASH: He's bad
Wow, just learnt he's 75! He looks great!
This film looks perfect, can’t wait!
Him and Michael J. Fox are my childhood heroes. ☺
He actually makes a very good point about how green screens and CGI can ruin the acting atmosphere for an actor - maybe this is a factor that explains why so many CGI films, apart from looking nice, are absolute crap
Dave Batista is in blade runner too! So many greats in this movie!!!
This interview is like a battle
Harrison Ford just plain ol' fashioned rules - if Kurt Russell was Star-Lord's Dad then I hope it's not offensive to say I think Harrison is Star-Lord's Granddad
he's so amazing :")
Harrison looks like he could fall asleep at any given moment.
Awesome guy!
Fo you read the script in the morning or you have to be motivated by certain thoughts
maybe the only actor in Hollywood who has never had a facelift 😎
Am I the only one who remembers, a couple of years ago, rumors of Christopher Nolan was going to do a Blade Runner prequel movie?
u damn right, it would have been awesome to have nolan, but i personally would not want nolan to have done it, because i love nolan's original films, and i don't want him helming another franchise unless it was "BOND" at least for ONE movie.
He would’ve been also acceptable...Dennis, Fincher and Nolan can do no wrong (they can go “meh”, but not wrong)
Those 3 are amazing choices. Those 3 also happen to be 3 of my 5 personal favorite filmmakers, but only 4 would make some sort of sense
I think Rutgar Hauer would have been a fine director.
I'm so fucking glad that didn't happen, he would have ruined it so hard.
One would think that you would be so captivated by Ford that you listen to what he says.. And not ask a question he just answered seconds ago.
Seriously, get someone that is actually capable of interviewing someone properly.
The interviewer really tried, but i found him painful. Ouch. Not easy, i guess
I am weirdly thinking that at 80 he is still hot !
to many shots for ford
I'm only here because of him.
I want to imagine that the vintage red Ford Mustang parked outside the window is Harrison's and that he parked it there to keep an eye on it.
I would do the same if I was him. Beautiful car!
I imagine he parked it there because he has a better adventure to go on than give this millenial douche an interview. You know he just dyed the gray in his hair to look more mature.
You see the grey sideburns on the "millennial douche?"
Nah. More likely is the black GMC to the left. A celebrity like Ford would be delivered in one of those by a driver.
Harrisons Deni Villenuve impression was spot on 😂👌🏼
So true hahahahah
+Jean Loup T wtf
Jean Loup T You're a clown
I love how every time Harrison Ford got a question about how hard he worked on the movie - He always gave an answer like "Uhhhh yeah no shit I try to do a good job" 😆
Harrison is one of the funniest guys on this planet. Effortless
So do you hang out with him often?
+Wat You are objectively wrong
" Did you learn anything from Gosling?"
"No."
Bellissimo.Anna.
"When you walk onto a set lit by Roger Deakins .... it's real."
Too right - Deakins' work is astonishing on the new Blade Runner.
"You mean he cares about what he's doing?" Thank you. 👏 Love you Ford ❤
harrison ford is sitting there and people are just walking past outside?!
It's amazing what you could do with window tint these days.
Harrison is 75 years old, still in good shape and awesome
you know this film is going to be good because Harrison Ford is at his least belligerent
Peter Herron Ford’s best performance to date.

Harrison Ford is not only hilarious, but he’s a smart man. No, wonder he was too smart for the interviewer.
I really hope there's a third blade runner film that maintains the standard of the first two. The original and 2049 are both absolute masterpieces.
Harrison ford is effortlessly chill but you can tell he's a real old fashioned man.
Love seeing him actually excited to promote the sequel. His attitude with Star Wars made it clear he didn't want to return with that franchise, don't blame him.

Harrison Is fantastic (The interviewer don't really get anything - it's his job and it's showing)
It might be a bit intimidating to interview a star actor you've been watching all 30, 40, whatever years of your life, no?
lol you can tell he really didn't give a shit about working with Leto from that answer HA
Against all odds, they delivered a sequel that can stand with the original -- BLADE RUNNER 2049 is a genuine sci-fi masterpiece.
Indy 5 please dear JEHOVAH ... (but in the latin alphabet Jehovah begins with a...).... Make my childish deep innerself find peace.

witness one of the last of Mans Man type of guy. in todays climate you won't get this again

Just don't be a fucking pervert.
Someone hasn't watched the works of Nick Offerman.

Harrison knows EVERYTHING about the Replicants and the Blade Runners ... so awesome

Harrison Ford = Acid humour, lol.
Those chairs, looks so uncomfy.. Sorry Bill, they haven’t changed ‘em.

Being French-Canadian, I cringed when the interviewer mispronounced completely Villeneuve's name...He just butchered it...

Ford is catatonic as always. I have had this deep suspicion that he is a replicant all the way back to the return of the Jedi.
What a terrible poster!
So, what do ya think they're gonna do for Indy 5? I bet they're gonna use the young CG stuff on Harrison, for a couple of scenes of course.
watched it on the 6th, it was epic!
DERIVATIVE - i don't mean in the 'obvious' way - but that BAD way ...
Definitely seems more interested in it than Star Wars
Talk to him about Indiana Jones and he’ll talk about it with a huge smile and a lot of passion
Man seeing Harrison ford like this makes me really sad. I grew up on his body of works and its scary to imagine a world where he won't be making movies.
