I'm literally listening to this right now in the Emil-Berliner-Studio control room (the one right at the recording studio) and this shit sounds amazing. and mind you, this is youtube quality. I can get over the quality 'cause I know what youtube does to frequencies and still what I hear is really fecking balanced.
Love this project. You guys should get in touch with Periphery to see if you can open for them sometime. I hear Misha and Mark are pretty approachable.
I don’t know why but that lead reminds me of one of The Birthday Massacre’s newer songs from their album Under Your Spell called One. The solo part from that song just reminds me of that song for some reason I don’t know why lol
One cool thing about this album is that it doesn't lack a singer at all, at any moment. I often listen to some amazing instrumental artists and still find some parts a bit repetitive without a singer adding a new dynamic, but in THIS... not at all, it's an awesome riff, and where it ends... another awesome riff ! Hats off to you guys
This is too much for me to handle. This song makes me feel like I just grew a 2 foot long beard, fought a shark, and hiked Mount Everest all in a span of 5:12.
I don't know if you guys will see this, but this instrumental has meant more to me than would be easy for me to articulate with a quick comment. So I'll just say thank you for making it. I've listened to it so many times, and I absolutely love it. It's one of my favorites.
Where i heard the mention of these guys was i was watching a video interview of Misha Mansoor of Periphery and he had mentioned them the name sounded interesting... So yeah. Harrison Fjord here is an Amazing track.
bennymountain1 Yeah it's depressing, they think their cool cause they know all these jargons and give out critiques etc. but in reality it just makes them look like newbie recording enthusiasts.
This song gets me pumped up, man. You can hear they put heavy heart into this EP. Sheer beauty my friends. Made me pick up my guitar for the rest of the evening. The groove is alive and real that's for certain.
Not only is Periphery my favorite and go to band, but thid is amazing you guys are so talented and it seems like every project any of you do is groundbreaking. Hats off to you guys great job!
They have everything, fantastic riffs, drums, vocals(imo), bass work by mr getgood always top notch, this just influences how amazing their guitar work can go and the drums kicks so much ass here as well
the bass is making the distasting sound everyone is hearing but I think it sounds fuckin wicked and fresh I noticed the bass feels on the other tracks so far too...good job boys
Fucking love how that lead sounds like that one Naruto track that's like uplifting. They usually play it after battles when shit is looking hopeful again. Like how this song makes me feel. Keep doing your thing guys never stop 🤘🏼
BEST CHORUS EVER :') I kinda like the "strat" lead sound of the previous EP on the lead guitar :/... I guess I'll get used to this new sound, good job ^^!!!
Amazing still love the music you guys put out since i got your 3 song sampler from you guys at the KsE, DragonForce, Chimaira show in DC back in 2006. Keep it up
@@AdiAdi-bf6sj oh god its been a while, i know this song was on it, and i think it had demo cuts of "The Spire" and "Norway Jose" without digging through my old cds and fighting with windows media player listening to those two on spotify sounds familiar.
This whole page is a good example of how fetishist metal has become. Metal has depleted it's themes long ago, and all that's left are production and gear fetishes. It is in a way ironical that the first guys to protest this rising danger were the Norwegians with black metal, and now we're witnessing production masturbation in these comments over a technically black metal song... I guess destiny really has it's sense of irony. My advice to everyone who's in writing music these days is: Think hard of what your sound means, what kind of drama and story does it carry within, then you will realize that production is a much deeper world, and doesn't necessarily have to "sound good". You cannot be an artist living care free life, snuggled in your studio. You have to mature through both light and darkness. That is why Devin is such an amazing musician. His soul carries something deep and its reflected through his music. Respect for all the hard work these guys are doing, but the real meaning a song should have is replaced with the meaning of technology that makes it.
Very interesting view, tho I do think Misha and Mark have written some soulful, from the heart songs, I agree when you say this genre of music is just a fetish now for anyone who knows anything about production.
Christian Karcher Hey, tnx for comment! Misha definitely has interesting view on metal in general and i like him for that, but metal itself has tired me out a bit and stuff like this pushes me even further to electronic music where maschine fetish is core and not accidental..
it's rooted in Infinity Loudness Wars ... also music industry has shifted focus from music to sound. That's on tech, much more to play around with these days, so "making music" became "manipulating sound". What used to be well thought out process became liking random patterns, listening to what sounds cool, in other words reacting to something random. Artists don't own their shit anymore, they are the medium through which randomness speaks. And it's all part of the bigger picture: structure as such is losing its role and meaning in the world.
Love those Indiana tones
hUHUAhUh very nice
good one

Bruh...
Pretty Han guitar Solos too
this song has some pretty cool Hand solos

*Listens on phone speaker*
*Critiques mix*
Evan Williams *Really makes you think*
Evan Williams mix is supposed to sound good on mono aswell as stereo otherwise its bad
Evan Williams - this one is sick and phones really do no music justice, especially outdoors.
@@freeradicals4christ some phones do, headphones for example.

Hahaha brilliant!

0:54 is one of the best transitions I've ever heard. I cry everytime whenever I listen to that lead guitar hits the first 3 notes.

Dat full velocity snare.
@Mike G not even close
@Mike G lmao
Aaron Sircable thanks
The black metal influences kick ass, also the leads are seriously well written.
+MrAntihumanism I am digging this, but I'm not really getting any hints of black metal.
At 00:40 that is classic black metal tremelo picking, although I was referring more to the general tone of the record.
So much love for this ^_^
+Sithu Aye Collab please, both you and these guys are my top progressive metal bands. Absolutely in love with all your music!
+Sithu Aye i luv u bb
+Sithu Aye I want to like but... 69 likes.

The release of this EP had my garrison floored.
these are some extraordinary measures
This is too much for me to handle. This song makes me feel like I just grew a 2 foot long beard, fought a shark, and hiked Mount Everest all in a span of 5:12.
this comment. i enjoyed it way too much.
Hahaha you’re fucking funny..... HILARIOUS EVEN
One of the best pure instrumental songs until now. Death, black, thrash and AAL style!
I love how the snare cuts through the mix, so fucking brutal, a really love this song
when the guitar @0:55 kicks in, prove there's hope in this world ....
Truly this is the song of the millennium. Falcon you hurry up and release the whole thing?
+Theodore Roosevelt We just have to retrieve the masters, we left them in Diana Jones...
Well this pun just sold me this album, going to Bandcamp when I get my next paycheck
This was a Mrak reply, no doubt. Undisputed king of puns.
00:18 what a nice riff!!

Easily one of the most underrated no lyric metal songs of all time
I love how everyone's a mix expert nowadays. Just enjoy the god damn music ffs. Stellar job on the mix, Misha, and the songs are fucken awesome!
+Emil John Dela Rosa Fuckin truth. Everyone here's a goddamn sound engineer...
I cringe everytime i read their mix critiques
bennymountain1 Yeah it's depressing, they think their cool cause they know all these jargons and give out critiques etc. but in reality it just makes them look like newbie recording enthusiasts.
+Emil John Dela Rosa And here he is, the 3d party, the guy who's against it all. It's at least as cringeworthy as the pseudo mixing experts.
+Sucheth Ramprasad you might want to read what i posted again? I wasn't talking to you.....
the clean part at 3:10 - 3:27 sounds million times better in this version
this reminds me of my times as a drummer in a metalcore band in 2007. Amazing work guys!
0:54 Everytime that first slide happens, chills.
especially the ambient nostalgic layer over everything, those little soft spots really make it come together
@1:31-1:50 that Holcomb PRS with omega and alpha pickup toan MMM YES!
Hank Hill where are you?
+B33f1NAT0R He can wait. It's no party until Brendon stacey arrives.

definitely feeling the Emperor vibes on this one. Love this stuff

This title is so sick.

wow this blows me away and i am so happy that there are no annoying vocals like in periphery, just awesome music
Waiting for PV
There's some kind of echo in the background of this track? It's a bit jarring, the original didn't have this effect.
