Does anyone know the date this was released on television and the production company behind it. Need this info for my leaving cert history project so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am surprised they went through with this. After the I.R.A.'s bombing campaign in Britain in the '80s, I thought a dynamiter would be quietly hidden.
The 26 County state was created by the Westminster Parliament. O'Donovan rossa said in that Parliament the clains for Ireland are forged. Rossa would have opposed these hypocrites who claim to commorate him
O’Donovan Rossa also would not have aged well as a figure because of his interest in what are essentially war crimes if he existed today.
I understand that he was vehement in achieving independence and I have great respect for those who made such sacrifices to end oppression but there is a time and place for both and I wouldn’t wish our current leaders had such a mentality as it is unnecessary in modern day Ireland.
Achieving independence through peaceful means and creating a country for all is and should be the way our leader’s approach unity.

The Irish Army guards of honor, color parties and bands were top class. I was proud to be Irish watching this commemoration today. In particular, the re-enactment of Patrick Pearse grave side oration delivered by Jim Roche stood out as the outstanding gem of this superb production. The lines .. the fools .. the fools gave us our Fenian dead stand at the pinnacle of this great speech .. but the line .. the English thought they had intimidated half of us and purchased the other half .. a classic .. I am so looking forward to the remaining upcoming commemorations that define those events where we struck a blow for the freedom of our country and finally rid ourselves of our English oppressors and their lap dogs.

+Anthony Inger Barely mostly England Presbyterian planter despite hate for catholics we oppressed themselves some sided with Irish catholics United Irishmen. Scotland was oppressed until reformation in 1600s English then started to treat Scots as equals but not Irish because they remained catholic do not know about the Welsh.
