I note that this series started a long time ago. I have just started including the deliberate mistakes and am grateful for this tutorial and for the ones to follow. For the projects that I will eventually end up with and the reason for starting this I will use either a Nano of the other types of modules which include WiFi, but for now I am in Basic mode. I am familiar with 'C' so I am not anticipating problems as the 'main' function is already declared. many Thanks.
Its awsome very simple thankyou so much no one have explained like you i am just starting to learn although i am a mechanical engineer but you make it so easy that i pick everything up in first attempt i will continue with all your lectures thankyou so much

The best instructions on Arduino, Thankyou for taking the time to share you knowledge of Arduino with us in a organized calm fashion. I look forward to progressing thru you videos. Thanks again.
Hi dear Paul, this is a nice video (I subscribed). I have a lot of years working with C and I am starting with Arduino. I have a recommendation: I saw a lot of videos and everyone is making the same mistake. Arduino has little memory so it is quite important to use it properly. So, my advice: It is a good idea to use names instead of numbers to make the code readable, but if you define a variable to name a constant you are using space on the memory. C (and I saw Arduino has it too) has the #define keyword that allows you to name a constant without using data space (the precompiler puts the value directly into the generated code). So if you try: int z= 1; int x= 2; int c= 3; ... After compiling you will notice that 964 bytes are used by the program, but if you change the code to: #define Z 1 #define X 2 #define C 3 .... After compiling you will see that the byte size of the generated program is smaller, lets say 952 byte. And Z, X and C are really constants this way!
I AM VERY PLEASED WITH YOUR FIRST TUTORIAL ON ARDUINO. EXCELLENT, MAGNIFICENT, PERFECT SPEED, CLEAR AND AWESOME. GREAT JOB BROTHER PAUL!!!.... I ALSO LIKE YOUR BIBLE STUDIES ON THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD... GREAT MINISTRY.

I recommend Paul in the various arduino groups I'm in, every time someone asks where to go to learn arduino I send them the link to toptechboy and or here.
This is one of better people to learn from.It is really easy and he explains everything short but you can understand it.Thanks McWhorter!!
The way of your presentation is clear and specific. Thank you for such a nice video on Arduino basic
Thank you, Paul. We are going to spend a lot of time together. Your instruction is grade school level, right where I need to be.
Finally a great instructor that described the curly brackets!!! Great work!,
Paul you are the best instructor, easy to follow and understand , thanks!
Thanks for the kind words
Very explanatory tutorial showing that this guy understands a lot about arduino, programming, electronics.
THANK YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH. I got my first Arduino board and I have been so lost with it. Your videos are a Godsend. Thank you, sir.
The best introductory video for Arduino. 👏
very clear, professional, and easy to understand. This video is what i ve been looking for. I am going to lesson 2 now.
Hello Sir, I have been looking for some easy in depth tutorials to learn how to use the Arduino. I have been really impressed with the way you teach and the level of detail that you provide. Your love of teaching and knowledge of your subject is evident. It is a pleasure to join in with your tutorials. Thank you and keep up the good work.
This was super helpful, although my teacher is good, I find myself understanding you more. You really go into detail and I appreciate that. Thank you!
Thank you for such a clear and concise explanation. I just started with Lesson 1 and look forward to the rest of the lessons. You are a real teacher!!
Great video, I was about to take classes to learn Arduino programming but now with your videos I don't need to and at the same time I'm saving my money. THANK YOU !!!
Sometimes the best lessons are the free ones, as they are done for the love of the topic, not money.
the best training material for basic arduino ever.
I hope in the near future you will continue recording more advanced videos
This is the best intro ever for learning Arduino programming. Thank you very much sir.
Appreciate the kind words!
This is the best tutorial on introduction to arduino programming that I have ever seen. Good stuff!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really kind of you to upload this video, really simple and to the point.
Thank you Paul .. I know these lessons are over a year old. But this really helped me a lot .
Its awsome very simple thankyou so much no one have explained like you i am just starting to learn although i am a mechanical engineer but you make it so easy that i pick everything up in first attempt i will continue with all your lectures thankyou so much
Paul McWhorter, you are just the best, thank you for these tutorials, they got me exploring a whole new world. Had an arduino and did't know what to do with it...now it is all i can think of using
Dear Paul McWhorter sir your teaching style is very nice I don't know much English language but I get learn all those things whatever you want to learned like blinking led etc
I didn't like your video the first time, But i came back and am finding you are clearing up some basics for me, Thanks.
2018, still the best instructions i could find.
Best introduction to the Arduino and how to program it that I have found on UA-cam. Thank you!
Hey, make sure to check out the new series on arduino. Check out my channel and new playlist. I am remaking all these arduino tutorials
Regards from Croatia Sir, if we could think of all of living teachers on the Earth, You are the Father of all of us. Talent that You have for teaching is more than outstanding, more than extraordinary... Thank You
Thank you for the kind words!
Thankyou Paul for a well set of tutorials. This 49 year old appriciates the series, as I have a Arduino on order to use on my model railroad. You make it clear and easy to program. Wish you had a section on input, ie push buttons and on/off switches. Still a must see series. I hope your student appriciate your efforts.
bought a huge starter kit on ebay and really....I had no idea what I was getting into, since I mainly do classic electronics with separate components. This video is awesome to learn from scratch. Thank you !!
its 2020 and i need to learn this for school this is really good!
So if you try:
int z= 1;
int x= 2;
int c= 3;
...
After compiling you will notice that 964 bytes are used by the program, but if you change the code to:
#define Z 1
#define X 2
#define C 3
....
After compiling you will see that the byte size of the generated program is smaller, lets say 952 byte. And Z, X and C are really constants this way!
You inspired to buy my first Arduino! Cant wait to get it. Very simple and straight forward teaching, thank you.
The is the best Arduino tutorial videos in UA-cam
Great tutorial sir. I have been looking everywhere for one this clear. Keep up the good work!
