There's a similar case out of Houston about a spine surgeon named Eric Scheffey, who was nicknamed "Eric the Red" because his patients required so much replacement blood during his often unnecessary surgeries. Interestingly enough, he also fled to Colorado.
@@hakkhani no it’s not because of race you doofus it’s because instead of paying a slight price to fire him they decided to let him resign which gave him the opportunity to go to a new hospital and do more harm
If a doctor is causing injuries to multiple patients, isn’t the medical board automatically contacted. Especially if a hospital decides to sack him. That should definitely be reported. Wouldn’t they then suspend him pending an investigation. Why would it take his colleagues to contact the medical board.
See the thing is botched surgery hurts hospital reputation, and loses profit, so hospitals will keep these kinds of incidents underwrap. That’s why they allow him to resign and do everything to protect the doctor.
The real question is why isn’t there more people arrested? There’s a hiring process here and he can’t just waltz into a hospital and do surgery. Those who even hired him should also be fired and charged for this to even happen.
Crazy thing is this is not an isolated incident. Last week tonight did a great episode of this very subject last week and its a must watch to be able to understand how something like this happens all the time.
it's sad hospitals didn't report him to the board in the first place so they can avoid being associated and exposed to the public and keep their image clean. those botched surgeries could've been easily avoided if the hospitals put patients above their business.
The hospital allowing him to resign is what’s allowed him to move on to another hospital and continue injuring people. All those hospitals should be held accountable!
