The era of Hazrat Ali RA was from 656 to 661during that time islam go through many tough phases and hazrat Ali played essential role at that time to save Islam.
Ali ibn Abi Talib was a cousin and son-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, who ruled as the fourth caliph from 656 until his assassination in 661. He is one of the central figures in Shia Islam and is regarded as the rightful immediate successor to Muhammad as an Imam by Shia Muslims.
Ali ibn Abi Talib, or simply Ali, (l. 601-661 CE) was among the first Muslims, a cousin and son-in-law of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad (l. 570-632 CE), and later reigned as the fourth Caliph of Islam from 656 CE to 661 CE, when he was murdered.

Rightful heir of r prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was Hazrat Ali karam allah wajhu....rest were running after power who were against Hazrat Ali R.A.(Allah knows best) and Muslims r facing division today because we failed r prophet Muhammad peace be upon him by not standing with Hazrat Ali R.A when he needed unity from Muslim ummah....imagine standing with Banu ummayah and not family of r prophet Muhammad peace be upon him...and because of r failure... family of r prophet Muhammad peace be upon him faced so much both during time of banu abbas and banu umayyah rulers..so many were murdered from children and family of r prophet Muhammad peace be upon him....

Sabatis: followers of abdullah bin sabah. (Claimed that they divide islam into Sunni and shia)
Kharjeet: they claimed they only follow Quran and Hades. (Not follow Caliphate or imam)
Shia: followers of Ah-e-bait..or strong supporters of Hazrat Ali RA. Shia means "lover of Ali"( in favor of Hazrat Ali RA as a 2nd Calipha instead of Hazrat Abu Bakar RA).
