Indians consider all soldiers/troops (whatever position they hold) in high esteem. Even the Retired Officers/Soldiers. So everybody respects defence personnel, whether it is Army, Navy, Air Force or other establishments. I have one question to your good self that in an encounter operation, one terrorist was eliminated,while more than two soldiers lost their life including a Colonel. Why can''t India reduce Army casualties? Thanks.

I'm just trying to say that we should not judge anything on the basis of one or two scenarios. And things are improving, in near future there might be bulletproof jackets and helmets be available for our jawans and police forces. One way to counter the Budget crunch is for the Army which recieves the largest share of the defence budget to buy only indigenous weapons. Carbines, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, DMR, BPJ, Ballastic helmets, Armoured Vehicles, missile systems, artillery systems, air defence systems, radar systems can and are being manufactured in India by Indian industries. No need to go with foreign manufacturers for these weapon types. This can significantly cut down on money being paid to foreign manufacturers for ToT, local factory setup,etc. Only essential equipment which is not being manufactured here should be procured from outside. And the best thing about procuring indigenous equipment is that the money remains within the country's borders.

It represents the very best in radar technology. This radar can find out tiniest of objects in our airspace. And send various types of data to diffrent command and control centers. 5. Transportable satellite terminals. 6 dhruv helicopter 7. And our state of the art anti satellite weapon. If u remember during doklam clash even though china had s400 air defense system. Chiense still backed off. Becuase chiense knew the fire power of drdos cutting edge missile systems. The recent test of our k4 missile is an another example of Induas technical provess. K4 is a boost glide weapon with mirv. The warheads are with hypersonic glide vehicles with propulsion and stealth. The range with 3000kg warhead is more than 4000kms. Why the government at times beahaves timidly and takes protective cover behind the Army. 2. If there had been some other party in place of BJP ... sure there would have been modernization... becoz it is the need of time . Govt no need to boast about that. 3. One way to counter the Budget crunch is for the Army which recieves the largest share of the defence budget to buy only indigenous weapons.
Carbines, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, DMR, BPJ, Ballastic helmets, Armoured Vehicles, missile systems, artillery systems, air defence systems, radar systems can and are being manufactured in India by Indian industries.
No need to go with foreign manufacturers for these weapon types.
This can significantly cut down on money being paid to foreign manufacturers for ToT, local factory setup,etc.
Only essential equipment which is not being manufactured here should be procured from outside.
And the best thing about procuring indigenous equipment is that the money remains within the country's borders.

Indias anti icbm defense system is way ahead of american thaad.
India has shown many made in India advanced technologies at this years parade. 1 our state of the art air bourne early warning and control system. That played a vital role in balakot air strike. 2 lethal and highly advanced akash air defense system. Akash uses a highly advanced throttable ram jet engine. It is an all terain all weather simultaneous multi target handing system. Akash sam is invulnerable against any electronic coounter measure. A nightmare for any type of fighter jet cruise missile drones and rpas. Recently akash intercepted a very advanced israiel spice 2000 at very low altitude of 30 meters even without a seeker. Its guidance control and navigation system is of highest class. Our entire boder with china is sealed using akash sam. Akash protects all vital army, air force and other senstive locations in India. Its not like without s400 our skiea were vunrable. Our skies are already very well protected. 3 Astra beyond visual range missile. Astra uses an advanced seeker made by drdo hydrabad. The seeker works on ku band. Its doppler velocity is between -300 to +2400 meter per second. If that wasnt enough the seeker is packaged with advanced electronic counter measures as well. Our astra is comparable to the best in the world in such areas. And as time goes by we can increase its rangs. 4 Air defense tactical control radar. Its very advanced radar. It represents the very best in radar technology. This radar can find out tiniest of objects in our airspace. And send various types of data to diffrent command and control centers. 5. Transportable satellite terminals. 6 dhruv helicopter 7. And our state of the art anti satellite weapon.
If u remember during doklam clash even though china had s400 air defense system. Chiense still backed off. Becuase chiense knew the fire power of drdos cutting edge missile systems.
The recent test of our k4 missile is an another example of Induas technical provess. K4 is a boost glide weapon with mirv. The warheads are with hypersonic glide vehicles with propulsion and stealth. The range with 3000kg warhead is more than 4000kms. And with 70% warhead it can easily go upto atleast 7000kms. K4 is a nightmare for china as china doesnt have an anti icbm defense system like India. The Arihant class submarine from which this missile will be launched are equipped with 7 silos with multiple missiles per silo like the usa ohio class.
As our drdo chief Dr G Satish reddy always makes it clear that India is self reliant and has developed advanced capability in area of missile technology, radar technology, sonars, electronic warfare systems, displays and guns. Many many more futurstic weapons are being developed by drdo. One of them being laser weapon. Drdo has already developed a 250kw laser weapon which is undergoing testing..

I hav few questions nd points.
1. Why the government at times beahaves timidly and takes protective cover behind the Army.
2. If there had been some other party in place of BJP ... sure there would have been modernization... becoz it is the need of time . Govt no need to boast about that.
3. Defnce power: we hav third largest army. possibility is that, in future there will be no possible conventional war ...
Except in insurgencies nd internal threat we will not be using our state of the art war weapons anywhere. So why to spent on defence. Why not on economy.. education.
4. Agreed with gaurav sir's views on induction of women in combat roles.
But why majority army men give assertions and couunter women induction based on their incapability.
Test the one who are volunteer and capable... induct them.
Get away with the biased midset and assesment.
Army is not for reservations.... it takes blood...
