- We have been covering Dennis Smith Jr since his freshman year of high school and he has provided the fans with incredible play after incredible play. Now, at 19 years old, Dennis Smith Jr has declared for the 2017 NBA Draft. Smith's freshman year at NC State wasn't ideal in terms of the win/loss record but what he was able to do was nothing short of amazing.
He was one of two players in Division I to post two triple-doubles. Smith is the fifth player in ACC history - first freshman and first to do it against two league opponents - to record a pair of triple-doubles in a single season. Virginia great Ralph Sampson was the only other freshman to record a triple double in the ACC.

Happy to see he fully recovered from the acl injury. Reminds me of Baron Davis, D Rose, and Westbrook cause of his athleticism.. man this is a loaded draft. Lakers could miss out on some elite talent, but the league needs the Lakers to be competitive again real soon, so they will get a top 3 pick .. Magic is back and the league will make up for setting the franchise back 5 years by vetoing the CP3 deal.

Honestly think him and Fultz are the best two players in the draft and will have the most successful careers.
He looks like one of those dudes that will play in the NBA for like 10-12 years with like 3-4 different teams. He also looks like one of those guy who may play for like 17 years in the league, and dunk out like 10 times a year. He is good, but all depends on what team he goes to whether he makes a high impact.
