I love this series. The King has been obsessed with us from day one, but it seems his troops are taking it as weakness. I wonder if he’s killed a few for defiance. And Shale. He better be very careful. This isn’t the first time the King has caught him looking at us. I believe we’ve stalled long enough and the King is tired of waiting. And he’s willing to set the world ablaze for us. I can’t wait to see what we do next!

idk my guy there's just something about this level of Devotion, no matter how bad it is for other people, that has me swooning. <333 but idk. does he really like the listener or just like them for the crusade/power? if they told them "pls no crusade" would he listen? it seems like he's willing to do anything for them, but is he? is he willing to make big sacrifices or compromises about things that truly matter to him? idk. if he is, i'm smitten~

Oh dear. Sure hope we don't do something rash before the marriage & cause something to go even more horribly wrong than the Eldritch Awful that our fiancé is planning... 😅 I sure don't want him to do a 180 on his esteem for us, if only for our safety. He's a really intriguing character...immensely strong, ruthless & charismatic, yet that kernel of fragility, gentleness & neediness inside.

Well, this isn't going to go well for somebody... It's hard to know how to feel about the king. I mean, he's a homicidal maniac, but he's engaging in a way. He wants what's best for his people - which is apparently eldritch transformation and becoming an unstoppable army, so we're going to have to disagree on that one, your majesty - but he adores and honors his Light. When a psychopath is more chivalrous than most people, something's weird in life...
