Great interview Eric. I really appreciate everything you’re doing for the shooting community and sharing all of this knowledge out for us to learn from!
Your interview picks get better and better!!! You are awesome for doing this!!! Thank you very much for this-i’m sure everyone who watches this truly appreciates your work!!💯👍🏽
These are fascinating iterviews. I can't get enough of this. Listening to all these talented shooters and the various shooting disciplines is just incredible. Thank you all for willing to share your knowledge and perspectives. Erik, keep going. I'm in.
I didn't have a lot of time earlier so I wanted to leave another comment. What makes these interviews so valuable to people is that we get to hear from people that we would never in a million years get to meet. We wouldn't even know who they are. I have learned a ton from you. And what you're doing matters. Thanks. Ps I tried to get my kid to come down and be your assistant. But he's just too afraid he would cut it.
Amazing stuff! I’ve had to interview people and what also impresses me is how you manage to ask the right questions to get these folks to share such great info - keep it up!
After shooting in 4 matches with 3 being at Spearpoint I agree.I sawppeople sharing all their wind and elevations.I am just learning to run my Kestrel fairly well.I like it to be difficult. PaulPhillips and Brian Wink have advanced this sport along ways.Brian Lentz with bullets. Its been amazing shooting in this sport.
Yes! That very King of 2 Miles show with commentator Paul Phillips was the initial spark for me to shoot Long Range! Had it in my head for a few years - but now to start! Unfortunately Austria is very "narrow" for such distances....
Another great interview Erik thank you , ELR is a fascinating sport , it’s hard to imagine what it takes too be accurate at 2 miles plus , Paul is a very interesting knowledgeable guy . Aussie Steve .
It was fun watching you interview Paul. He can talk for hours and it's never boring. He gave me one of his Cutting Edge Bullets a while ago and I was amazed at the workmanship that goes into just the projectile. Now going to a turned case is crazy. The tech just keeps increasing.
You are making a difference. I hope other platforms take off so content creators and knowledge sharers can speak freely and have it worth your while. Bc you are helping. I was a fairly avid shooter. I would shoot 3-4K rounds of 223 and a case or so of 9mm every year and I just lost the bug and haven’t touched my rifles or trained with any hand guns for the last 4 years. And after finding you and others in long range and precision, I pulled my old 700 out of the bin and have been checking it over and am going to shoot very soon. And reloading. Def going to step my game up on that end. I always thought it would be boring loading singles and shooting groups and stuff but it has my attention thanks to people like you. I appreciate it. Anyways. Have a good one. Thanks again.
I shoot’s sub 12 ftlb airgun gun 🤣 in the UK but I’m absolutely fascinated by all this ELR stuff and the effort that goes in to it . Could listen to these guys all day long . The passion rubs off on me and helps my shooting 👍
Ive always loved benchrest, then i got fascinated by f class, lately ive been interested in elr, man Eric you've been just knocking it out of the park with these interviews.
Very interesting… going on my first hunt next month.. and yes I used your techniques on straight walled cartridges for my Encores I am taking… excited….
Keep going Sir ! I don’t competitive shoot but these interviews help me judge how I’m doing in hunting long range and in the reloading room . I would love to see some world class gunsmith interviews ! I’m hooked !
I shoot 3-4 days a week LR and ELR here in Wv. I have a lot of mile to 2300 yd strip mines to shoot on and with a lot of different technical winds. I have several 2 mile shots as well. I wish I had more shooters that were interested in in-depth ballistics and wanted to shoot a mile and further. Great content and video!!! Love these interviews!!!
Where in WV are you? I’m in the DC Metro area and Peacemaker is the only place I know that I can shoot up to 1000 yards. Would love to find somewhere to start shooting longer.
@@sf2189 headed out now to shoot. I’m in the kanawha valley area near Charleston. A good ways from ya. The abandoned strip mines are great for lr and elr. You are welcome to come shoot.
Paul sounds like my geology lecture "take your stuff, go into the the field, and work it out yourself" i think it's the best way to go about solving problems because it makes you self sufficient so to speak
The wind! In tournament golf we used to say the wind 'spreads the field' and the best players would play more relaxed because they were even more confident in their judgement and skill. It sounds like it is the same way with shooting matches.
Wow this was super enlightening. Really have had a major itch to get to Raton in August, but it’s hard as a teacher. I’d love to hear more about the 416 Barrett & 460 Steyr. Great stuff!! And how about some more from Speedy! I hear he used to have a shop off Huebner rd 5 min from where I live in NW San Antonio.
I’m a layman compared to this level of marksmanship. I would be interested to know if there’s any benefit to a harmonically balanced to increase the coefficient to the round. Congratulations on this achievement.
Yeah, the difference between back then and today is that the prices of everything was a LOT lower. High consumer prices equals the availability of prizes for these guys. Advertising and sponsorship isn't cheap.
Imagine you speak these words, "After winning three world championships with the US Rifle Team, I just wanted something different." Well, I reckon after that one could do whatever the hell they want, because they've proven they're quite capable. I knew I was gonna get my ass kicked not only in my first match, but I will likely lose my first 20 matches. I accept this, because if I walk onto that firing line like I'm game cock that can't lose, then everyone on that line that's 100 times better at shooting than I am will simply ignore me and not share any wisdom. Owning that I am not the best shooter is what helps me be open to the criticism which will make me into a better shooter. I love shooting in the wind, rain, doesn't matter. I know that it will make me a better shooter.
Paul seems like a cool guy, knows what he is talking about, but dude definitely has to say what he has to say. Just kept talking over Erik's questions.

Shiraz Balolia would be a good interview.
Would love to see these turned into a podcast
Keep after V2!!! Most realistic way of finding the best and keeping it fair!

one of your best interview.

Erick, gracias por estas entrevistas a personas con tanto conocimiento, un abrazo desde España...
Truly amazing!
🥳Best channel ever
It's crazy how different these disciplines, yet how the underlying basics are identical.
Wow, I use to live off Hwy 281 in North San Antonio. I still fish Braunig and Calaveras lakes.
Yes, this is really good stuff

Great interview
Good stuff. Thanks
Robert Brantley won the King of 2 Mile with an “old burned out barrel” and a support bag used in PRS competition.
"Training with a purpose" where did I hear that before.
Damn this was a great conversation!

what is max load for 20n29 powder and 416 550 cutting edge bullet ?? or starting load ?? great interview :) john
Yeah, the difference between back then and today is that the prices of everything was a LOT lower. High consumer prices equals the availability of prizes for these guys. Advertising and sponsorship isn't cheap.
Like the way those boys think out of the box. The military invitatiomal event he is talking about would be a wealth of info in and of itself.
Mike Stinnett. World record small 100 yard bench rest group. 0.0077 inches.
KO2M should be on Fox along with other shooting disciplines. We need more eyes on our sport!!!
I wish he’d have talked about loading a bit. Did he say they are shooting .47” at 500 yards? 😳. I’d love to see an interview with Brian litz
Erik, 2 questions, 1 how many rounds do you put on your shehane before you change the barrel? 2 Have you tried vvn150 in a 6 dasher before?
I’ve shot with Corbin snell he’s got ELR records at ARENA training facility
Way to go PP, from PP

Should read interview with Hoss Cartwright. When he gets to Texas put a 10 gallon Stetson on the man.
Kick ass
No ice in the stainless thermos today Erik….
LET'S GO BRANDON!
😂
Wow!!!!!
Why doesn’t anybody shoot .408 in ELR?
Now I know where all the bullets are. Lol
What press do they use to load 416 Barrett?
50 bmg size press
Paul seems like a cool guy, knows what he is talking about, but dude definitely has to say what he has to say. Just kept talking over Erik's questions.
