I saw my increase n felt like sending it back. If one of the richest counties can't spare a few bucks. But my 38 bucks will help me to eat 5 days out of the week anyway. N I'm sick of one meal a day. But it is what it is and once again our senators and congressman vote for their own raises n we get peanuts IF WE CSN AFFORD THEM.
Do you think the 2025 Social Security COLA increase is enough to keep up with rising costs like groceries and utilities? Let’s talk about whether this adjustment really makes a difference for you and your family!
I just filed for early retirement and have set up direct deposit.Thankfully I am fortunate to view this money as play money.I know many who aren’t so fortunate.I don’t know how I would survive if I had to depend solely on that money.
Just in time for the banks to be shut down, how’s that work out for us…😂 No social security can be deposited electronically in your account. How lucky we are with no way to pay bills ever because they won’t send paper checks any longer, they thought of everything !!! 😂
Please, are the people who on disability who get ssi and social security and ssdi going to get the 1 thousand and 4 hundred dollars stimulus check by the end of January ?
Currently, there isn't a new $1,400 stimulus check approved for SSI, SSDI, or Social Security recipients by the end of January. However, the IRS is issuing special payments of up to $1,400 to about one million taxpayers who didn't claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on their 2021 tax returns. These payments are automatic, so no action is needed if you're eligible. They should be sent out by late January 2025.
I hear you, and you're not alone in feeling like the COLA increase isn't keeping up with rising costs. Groceries, utilities, and other essentials have gotten so expensive lately. Have you looked into local programs or resources that might help bridge the gap? Sometimes there are community services or energy assistance programs that can make a difference, even if it's temporary.
