I've just realized, everybody react the same to this song, whether they're into BTS or not. It is impossible not to tear up to Jin's voice and the lyrics in this one.
because the lyrics are so relatable,and Jin's deep,yet high in a way voicr matches it so much.it shows a lot of emotion,as if we are also feeling it through a song.
There are tons and tons of people who should learn to love themselves more. It's so sad that many don't. It's sad that they don't see the good qualities in them because they only see the negatives. But that's a discussion for another video.

Since I couldn't find a comment about it, but I believe this could be an interesting bit of information for you, I thought I bring it up: Jin wasn't a singer to begin with. He is a graduated actor and just picked up singing when he joined the group. You can clearly hear how hard he worked on the technical aspect of singing over the years, but he always had the talent to convey every bit of feelings you can put into a song. For example his cover of the song "Mom" is already a couple of years old, but it's no less emotional and it makes me cry, with or without lyrics. That is one of the reasons I adore their CEO so much. He didn't search for perfect singers, he saw the potential in them and knew what their individual strengths were and how he could support them to show these off, instead of going with purely technically good vocalists. We actually don't know yet who wrote "Epiphany" since it's the intro to their new album, which will drop on the 24th. If you look at his solo for the album "Wings" called "Awake", which he co-wrote, he is very well capable of writing such a song, but there is also a high chance it was written by another member, most of all Namjoon (RM) because he did write every other solo intro for the vocalists of the group. We will know for sure when the album is released and we have the official data.
Rebecca, I have always said that Jin has a very special gift. He sings with such emotion that you can't help but feel what he is singing. He also sang the harmonies himself. Jin seems to not get as much credit as the other singers but when he does get a solo, it makes you so emo. His vocals are really worth appreciating. Thank you so much.🌹

All intros in this series have been my favourite parts of the album. Epiphany is such a beautiful song but its Jin's emotions and voice that makes it so beautiful. Jin has this insane quality to move hearts through his voice. First awake and then epiphany. Anyone who underestimates Jin's vocals needs to get their head out of their ass and listen to him without any bias. Jin himself needs to love his talent more. Also, stream epiphany, its one fandom :)

This is very much how ARMY (BTS fans) react to their songs, they just know how to deliver emotions and the members can write philosophical lyrics. They don't do that many love songs and when they do, they prefer to discuss about love and how ppl should love one another.

To be honest, I was so scared to watch this. Jin is one of the best things that ever happened to me and I’m scared that he won’t be good enough since my baby received a lot of criticisms since day 1. I knows criticisms are essential to listen to when you’re trying to improve yourself but this guy suffered a lot and he always felt like he wasn’t good enough, that he was a burden to everyone around him. Joshua Menon I cant believe you really just came out and said that. Jimin is and amazing singer and his voice is angelic. Yes, there are times when his voice cracks because he's tired from literally travelling the world to perform and even performing while sick or unwell. You can't tell someone to suggest reacting to another artist because you don't think that he is good enough. Each member has his own unique style and technique that is completing different from the others, Jimin included. His voice cracking sometimes does not mean that he is any less as an artist. With the notes that Jimin is able to execute I'm honestly so disappointed that someone would try to say that he needs more time to get better. You even said he needs to learn the arts of managing his voice. WTF?! Jimin has improved so much from their debut and I think (and millions of other people) that Jimin's voice is perfect. HIS VOICE CANNOT BE PERFECT 100% OF THE TIME! He's obviously going to have good days and bad days, but to point out one minor flaw in his voice and then try to say that EVERYONE was mad that he's screwed up many of Bangtan's beautiful songs is disrespectful and disgusting. Not only did you insult Jimin, but you also insulted the other members by saying that Tae and Jungkook are the only ones who have sung Fake Love and Airplane pt 2 perfectly. I'm so pissed rn. Jin's voice really conveys a lot of emotions that you dont even need to read the English translation for the lyric. You just need to listen to his voice and everything you wanted to know behind the song has been answered . His voice is such a blessing.

Jin is a being that I applaud, I admire him for the level he has hitherto ... Of the boys of BTS he is the oldest and he was recruited without having any preparation or vocal experience. It has been through the years that through his own effort, practicing again and again, that he came to consider himself a vocalist, even learning composition and playing the guitar. Truly I was ashamed to see how he grew up to be able to perform such a beautiful performance ... (If you want to hear more about Jin, I recommend Awake from the BTS album Wings)

BTS. Kings of philosophical lyrics. They write their own music but also get a lot of help with it, but they write basically ALL of their own lyrics. Not sure if Jin wrote these lyrics or another member or often times it's a collaborative effort amongst various members. I all of BTS ( as artists, as people, as celebrities ...etc) but Jin has my favorite vocals. I don't know a whole lot about singing ( part of why I love your reactions so much!) but I just really love Jin's full voice. Jungkook is quite breathy and airy and featherlike, V is full of soul and has such incredible range, Jimin' voice is high and clear like a bell or an angle, but Jin just has this full, round tone. He often starts breathy and so emotional and then goes into his full voice, almost belting and it just always blows me away. I'll stop ranting now...just! I need a solo album from Jin or just for the vocal line to make an album of ballads

It's okay to sing along to it, that's always what i do whenever i hear him singing. His voice, there's just something about his voice that kinda makes you just wanna sing along to it. His voice can really get any emotion right. With a sad song, he can make you cry. With a happy song, you feel joy. His voice can bring emotion. He is a king.

You see, i have encounter so many people touched by this song. To nearly even crying, my self included. One that really try to understand the lyrics. To the point that i wonder, what happened to all of us? Then i learned that atleast once in life time, people do face "lowest" part of their life to the point they hate themself, their surrounding to nearly give up. Its meant to say "precious soul" not "previous soul"...and this song is so powerful for someone on the path of self discovery. You can literally resonate with EPIPHANY. I cried. And I can proudly put the full force of my support behind this message.
Okay, this may turn into a bit of an essay. First of all, it's completely okay to get emotional and sing along with this song. As someone explained before, this upcoming album is the 3rd and final part of the "Love Yourself" series that BTS has been doing. While the storyline that BTS has been using has gone on for about 3 years now, the Love Yourself part has gone on for about a year. There are supposed to be three albums I /think/, but at least the titles (Love Yourself: Her, Wonder, Tear, and Answer) have all been revealed. BTS always has an "intro" song, which I think is based on hip-hop albums/mixtapes (they were a hip-hop group in the beginning). Now all members have done an intro song. This upcoming album is called Answer, and the idea is that Jin (the one singing the intro and also the central character in the BTS universe storyline) has realized (he's come to an epiphany, see?) that he should love himself. He's not perfect, but he's still beautiful. The storyline has seen the boys (their characters) have gone through so many struggles mentally and physically and Jin has basically seen his friends struggle around him even though they thought the world was theirs as young boys. He tries to change time and tries to stop what happened (the music videos show that, and I hate to really "spoil" it but basically there's a murder and another person is hit by a car) but then more things go wrong. I think Answer is Jin and the other members having an epiphany and realizing that things can't really change, but they can do their best to love and move on. Focus on themselves, love themselves, and let the past be the past because now they're okay (hopefully). Also, I'm so glad you love Seokjin's (his full name) voice! He was and still is super underappreciated by many fans. He wasn't originally a singer, he was a theater student, and he was scouted by BigHit (their company) because a scout manager or someone saw him getting off the bus to university and chased him down and asked him to audition (lol if only we were all that attractive). His singing has developed so much over time, and yes, he wasn't the most amazing vocalist in the beginning, but he's a hard worker and loves what he does. His voice has become so gorgeous and beautiful, just as much as he is by heart and body.
The chorus gets me every time I listen to it too, ahh ;w; And I absolutely love the lyrics! If you're interested in other songs by Jin (the fine young man who sang Epiphany), you might want to check out Awake, his solo song where he took part in producing and writing the lyrics! He also has other beautifully sung covers, such as In Front Of The Post Office In Autumn (가을 우체국 앞에서), I Love You (난 너를 사랑해), and Mom (엄마) (going by latest to first ever cover). It would be really cool if you would do a listen for them one day 😄

This is very much how ARMY (BTS fans) react to their songs, they just know how to deliver emotions and the members can write philosophical lyrics. They don't do that many love songs and when they do, they prefer to discuss about love and how ppl should love one another.

What about spring day
To be honest, I was so scared to watch this. Jin is one of the best things that ever happened to me and I’m scared that he won’t be good enough since my baby received a lot of criticisms since day 1. I knows criticisms are essential to listen to when you’re trying to improve yourself but this guy suffered a lot and he always felt like he wasn’t good enough, that he was a burden to everyone around him.

Joshua Menon I cant believe you really just came out and said that. Jimin is and amazing singer and his voice is angelic. Yes, there are times when his voice cracks because he's tired from literally travelling the world to perform and even performing while sick or unwell. You can't tell someone to suggest reacting to another artist because you don't think that he is good enough. Each member has his own unique style and technique that is completing different from the others, Jimin included. His voice cracking sometimes does not mean that he is any less as an artist. With the notes that Jimin is able to execute I'm honestly so disappointed that someone would try to say that he needs more time to get better. You even said he needs to learn the arts of managing his voice. WTF?! Jimin has improved so much from their debut and I think (and millions of other people) that Jimin's voice is perfect. HIS VOICE CANNOT BE PERFECT 100% OF THE TIME! He's obviously going to have good days and bad days, but to point out one minor flaw in his voice and then try to say that EVERYONE was mad that he's screwed up many of Bangtan's beautiful songs is disrespectful and disgusting. Not only did you insult Jimin, but you also insulted the other members by saying that Tae and Jungkook are the only ones who have sung Fake Love and Airplane pt 2 perfectly. I'm so pissed rn. If you're going to say that kind of sh*t dont try to act fake afterwards and say that it's because you think he needs to improve. Their are many ways to suggest improvements to someone, but that was just plain hate.

Jin's voice really conveys a lot of emotions that you dont even need to read the English translation for the lyric. You just need to listen to his voice and everything you wanted to know behind the song has been answered . His voice is such a blessing.

Jin is a being that I applaud, I admire him for the level he has hitherto ... Of the boys of BTS he is the oldest and he was recruited without having any preparation or vocal experience. It has been through the years that through his own effort, practicing again and again, that he came to consider himself a vocalist, even learning composition and playing the guitar. Truly I was ashamed to see how he grew up to be able to perform such a beautiful performance ... (If you want to hear more about Jin, I recommend Awake from the BTS album Wings)

BTS. Kings of philosophical lyrics. They write their own music but also get a lot of help with it, but they write basically ALL of their own lyrics. Not sure if Jin wrote these lyrics or another member or often times it's a collaborative effort amongst various members. I all of BTS ( as artists, as people, as celebrities ...etc) but Jin has my favorite vocals. I don't know a whole lot about singing ( part of why I love your reactions so much!) but I just really love Jin's full voice. Jungkook is quite breathy and airy and featherlike, V is full of soul and has such incredible range, Jimin' voice is high and clear like a bell or an angle, but Jin just has this full, round tone. He often starts breathy and so emotional and then goes into his full voice, almost belting and it just always blows me away. I'll stop ranting now...just! I need a solo album from Jin or just for the vocal line to make an album of ballads

Its meant to say "precious soul" not "previous soul"...and this song is so powerful for someone on the path of self discovery. You can literally resonate with EPIPHANY. I cried. And I can proudly put the full force of my support behind this message.
Okay, this may turn into a bit of an essay. First of all, it's completely okay to get emotional and sing along with this song. As someone explained before, this upcoming album is the 3rd and final part of the "Love Yourself" series that BTS has been doing. While the storyline that BTS has been using has gone on for about 3 years now, the Love Yourself part has gone on for about a year. There are supposed to be three albums I /think/, but at least the titles (Love Yourself: Her, Wonder, Tear, and Answer) have all been revealed. BTS always has an "intro" song, which I think is based on hip-hop albums/mixtapes (they were a hip-hop group in the beginning). Now all members have done an intro song. This upcoming album is called Answer, and the idea is that Jin (the one singing the intro and also the central character in the BTS universe storyline) has realized (he's come to an epiphany, see?) that he should love himself. He's not perfect, but he's still beautiful. The storyline has seen the boys (their characters) have gone through so many struggles mentally and physically and Jin has basically seen his friends struggle around him even though they thought the world was theirs as young boys. He tries to change time and tries to stop what happened (the music videos show that, and I hate to really "spoil" it but basically there's a murder and another person is hit by a car) but then more things go wrong. I think Answer is Jin and the other members having an epiphany and realizing that things can't really change, but they can do their best to love and move on. Focus on themselves, love themselves, and let the past be the past because now they're okay (hopefully).
Also, I'm so glad you love Seokjin's (his full name) voice! He was and still is super underappreciated by many fans. He wasn't originally a singer, he was a theater student, and he was scouted by BigHit (their company) because a scout manager or someone saw him getting off the bus to university and chased him down and asked him to audition (lol if only we were all that attractive). His singing has developed so much over time, and yes, he wasn't the most amazing vocalist in the beginning, but he's a hard worker and loves what he does. His voice has become so gorgeous and beautiful, just as much as he is by heart and body.
