    Hey hey hey Fat Albert. You didn't tell us how to get from the Orlando Bus Station to Port Canaveral cheaply. Is there a Part 2 to this video. I need to know.

      Ahhh!!! I have seen this comment a few times and I 100% forgot to mention how I close the journey! I take a ride-share from RedCoach's Orlando Station to the port. Normally runs around $60 one way. Shockingly, still cheaper than renting a car for three days, parking, and gas.

    Enjoyed this! I'm actually about to release my vlog showing the Brightline service, so was good timing to see this one from you. Great to see another option!

      Brightline is a "nicer" experience but I hate paying for it! I feel like I get so much more value from the bus. Will be on the lookout for the video!

    Hey Brandon. I too have used RedCoach from Tampa to Naples and I loved it every time. I always manage to get the Business Class bus and the one time there was an issue with the bus, they used the regular economy bus and I was given a very nice voucher to use on my next trip, so they are really good to their riders.

      This is huge too! Things will always come up and it is is really the companies time to shine. We remember this more than anything! Glad it went well!

    Thank you Brandon for making this video. I was not aware the Red Coach existed and was thinking about traveling from MIA but didn’t feel like I wanted to drive and pay to park for a long trip and while I love Brightline, the fare often soaks up anything that I am saving by leaving from Miami vs Orlando on international travel! 🤦🏽‍♀️
    This puts MIA back in the mix for me and the cruise port again too!

    • @TheWeekendCruiser

      100%!!! When we live this close to airports, always makes sense to price out multiple ones!

    Great video! I was not familiar with RedCoach bus line. I usually try to cruise out of FLL because getting to Miami was always more difficult. I would definitely consider this option.

      Yes, there are a LOT of people who want to cruise out of south florida but also don't want to be in our traffic with the stress. Great alternative!

      Great question and apologies for not answering this! I take a ride-share which is about $60 one way. Appreciate the flexibility of ride share options. Shockingly, still cheaper than renting a car for three days, gas, and parking expenses.

    I did Red coach business overnight from Atlanta to Orlando, then did first class to Miami. I didn't have a lot of complaints because the price wasn't bad, but they should offer water and snacks if they're going to claim their seats are business and first class

    • @jcspotter7322
      @jcspotter7322 Місяць тому

      Since this is a sponsored video and you talked to them, can you talk to them about having busses stop in downtown Miami instead of just the airport?

      The only other issue I had was with the bathroom. They had no running water or hand sanitizer in the bathroom

    I used to take high-ish end/luxury buses from NYC down to Philadelphia, DC, and other NE cities back in the day. They are definitely not for poor people, etc. -- folks should watch the videos and make a decision for themselves if its worth the ride. The other nice thing, too, is that when you get comfortable with bus travel, it can open doors in other countries (like Mexico or Peru).

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  Місяць тому

      100% It opens up tons of other doors once you understand it. So many misconceptions about it.

    Red Coach USA is awesome! I used it a couple of times to go to Miami for cruises. I booked them for a return from Ft. Lauderdale after my next cruise in December. Much more convenient and affordable compared to Brightline.

    wow never thought about taking a bus. So the next question is how far to get to the bus station... LOL.

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  Місяць тому

      haha depends on which station! For me, I take the Metrorail in Miami to MIA or a $20 ride share. From the RedCoach Orlando Station to the ship, I take a ride share which is about $45 - 60. Shockingly, still cheaper than me renting a car, parking for 3 days and buying gas.

    Brandon, does this bus stop in west palm beach? I've been considering flix bus, but this one looks so nice, we go to Orlando to visit my dad and I honestly can't stand the drive anymore. We have taken amtrak but they don't assign seats which we didn't like, brightline seems to be bringing down orlando rates, so I am constantly weighing all options

      Hi! there is a Red Coach stop at the Lake Worth Service Plaza on the turnpike. It is a relaxing ride from WPB to Orlando 👍

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  Місяць тому +1

      They sure do! It picks up at the Service Plaza on the turnpike. You are like so many people who just can't with the traffic and crazy drivers these days down here. So much easier to let someone else do it!

    Pretty hilarious: I have taken Greyhound, Flix, Trailways, Peter Pan, and Concord from NYC to Philadelphia, Boston, upstate NY, Maine, and Montreal so many times over the years I've lost track. The busses are clean, safe, and inexpensive. Far less stressful than flying. The passengers tend to be much more polite than on planes. The train is nicer but usually not worth the much greater cost.

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  Місяць тому +1

      100%! As you can tell, I am a huge bus guy as well and love how you have gotten around so much! I think the first bus line I ever did was Lucky Star one of the Chinatown buses from Boston to NYC! That was an expereince!

    Orlando and Cape Canaveral are different places. How to you get to the port?

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  Місяць тому +1

      Hey Lynne! They sure are different places and I truly wish we had better connection options from Miami to Port Canaveral. Once I get to Orlando, on any of the transit options, I take a ride-share to the port. Runs about $45 to $60 one way. Still winds up being cheaper than renting a car, parking, and gas.

    Hey Brandon,
    is taking the public transportation from airport to cruise boat safe in Miami? Staying near docks and if I can save money by taking the city bus service

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  Місяць тому +1

      Hey Traveling Fool! (love the profile name!) Taking transportation from MIA to Port Miami is safe, however to go all the way to the port is time consuming. I would recommend taking a ride share from the airport direct to the port. Alternative, take the metro rail to Government Station and then a ride share as you are 1 mile from the port here. Price difference is not substantial though.

      Thanks, I have my hotel about 2 miles from port. so, it is broken up. Ima hike, and the walk is nothing.I am thrifty when I can, thus public transportation. got a super cheap Panama Canal balcony on NCL. if you like my name, you'll love my profile pic.

    People are so silly sometimes.....they should take some our coaches over here in Europe....plush! Even have clean potties on board (even when they stop a couple times for breaks at the eating place (sorry, can't remember the word for this)). The seats recline like in an airline. And so cheap.

    • @TheWeekendCruiser
      @TheWeekendCruiser  Місяць тому +1

      I agree! It is just a VERY different mentality over here. Maybe one day it will take off. The only downside is for me to just get out of Florida, it is probably a 10 hour bus ride lol
