Cheers for the alternative suggestions guys, but as it's going to be a faithful tribute to a previous car, I'm either going to get it spot on, or replace the roof. It's not going to be an easy cakewalk, but it's a challenge I'm taking on wholeheartedly, and won't give up unless I have to. 👍

i am a tavo not by choice, but due to bad luck with health, 26 back around 1990 i got chronic illness, not able to work ever since, almost gave up in so much pain, but hanging in there, grandkids help you focus.
    and the love of Valiants.
suggestion on vids, bonnet springs, should we grease them to stop the creaking dry sound.
door handles, if seals are stuffed, can we use car tubes to make new ones that sit between door and the handle.
any other things you have learnt on your journey.
    head liner tricks fitting.
    fitting door window trims ect
.i had good working valiants, so resto type things i didnt need back then.

Hey Darryn. Thanks for watching, and the suggestions. Hoping you're still able to make the best you can of life, I'm running at about 50% myself, a few permanent issues.
Will do videos on all the above, when (if?) I reach those stages of the build. Wishing you the best of health you can achieve.

@@TAVOAu thanks mate, i almost gave up, grandkids make a difference, some better meds, i break out in a sweat from pain just bending over, but its how you look at things, we seen far worse things at the women and children's, when my 1 year old was diagnosed with a really rare optic glioma.
31 years on, she is alive, def blind, but you forge on, always people worse off.
step sons lost a leg, but better than loosing an arm
when you wake up in pain at least you know
      your alive still alive.

Anything that has had heat (welding) will be shrinkage. Therefore hammer on dolly will stretch it back.
Anything hit (hammer ,accident)or steel on steel (hammer dolly) will stretch. Therefore heat to shrink.

Mate if you can’t get it straight could you spray it in stone guard and Matt black to look like a vinyl roof? Great videos- I’ll keep watching no matter how long or short they are. Cheers
