Wow wow wow!!! Just looking at your video it's safe to say this is the most beautiful collection TM has ever done😍😍😍. I need these shadows expeditiously. You captured the shifts so well and the eye swatches were super helpful.
Thank you! I use the Nyx Mixing Medium because I have oily lids and my makeup tends to melt off during the day (this happens with every shimmer). This is the only base I have used that doesn't allow that to happen. With my mattes I usually go in for P Louise but I didn't use that in this video 🤍
@@ColourfulIndian Hello, Is it the "multitasker" one ? Because I've been to the Nyx shop and it seems that it's not sold in my country so I'm going to buy it online but I need to be sure about the product because I have the same problem than you: my eyelids are oily no matter what I do so the eyeshadows never stay in place ! 😔💔
@@shizukagozen777 hey! Thank you for the question, yes it is the multitasker one. However, since I last replied to this thread, I had the chance to try a new makeup product out and I mix the Nyx Multitasker Mixing Medium (first base, mainly for mattes) with Alter Ego's Eyeshadow base now (for shimmers) - if you have oily lids, I would highly recommend the Alter Ego base. You can see my Adept Cosmetics Playlist to see how this works in extremely humid/sweaty weather (I am currently in Malaysia). I have walked around in searing hot temperatures and humidity for 7 hours+ and my makeup lasts - it is absolutely incredible. My makeup NEVER melts off with it and it's the best I have ever used - so I highly recommend that. Tbh if you had to buy just one, it would be Alter Ego all the way. I hope that helps 🥰
@@ColourfulIndian And thank you for the fast answer ! Oh waw ! I don't live in a country that has such a weather but that sounds very interesting for summer and parties where you dance and sweat a lot ! I'm not a makeup expert so this is the first time that I hear about the Alter Ego brand, I don't think their products are sold here (I need to check that though) so for now, I'm going to focus on the Nyx product because after all I live in a big city so there's no reason for me to not be able to find the multitasker product here and then if I really can't put my hands on it, I'll see if I can get the Alter Ego product online, but I'll buy it only if I can get it through a "safe" way, I mean that if it comes directly from the US or the UK (thanks Brexit...), I'll have to pay some extra taxes which I want to absolutely avoid and also I'm scared of knockoffs. Thank you very much for your advices, I hope I can get one of those products ASAP. I'll check your playlist too, I'm sure it's full of useful tips ! 🤗
hello, gorgeous!! i got hourglass nebula & unfortunately, i am not impressed. it has the strangest texture -- flaky yet emollient. i can get the desired effect on the back of my hand because i can apply enough pressure & hold my hand skin taught to spread the ooey gooey flakes out but i cannot do this on my eye. it makes my lids look like iguana skin unless i sheer it out significantly & at that point i lose the striking qualities of the shadow. can you please explain how you got it to look the way it did on your finger swatch side? yours looks so smooth, glossy, & uniform. i'm not sure if i just have intensely textured lids at 28 or what. :(
Yes of course! I'm so sorry it's not turning out right, that would be so disappointing. Are you using any kind of base with this eyeshadow? I use a small drop of castor oil before applying any makeup (1/4 drop per eye) and allow it to sit there for 10-15 minutes. Then I go in either with my P Louise base (matte shadows) or Nyx Mixing Medium (shimmers/multichromes etc) and it feels a bit tacky but it's so much easier to get shades on after that. The way I see it is the skin is our canvas, so the smoother the skin is, the easier the makeup application. My skin is dry so I hydrate it a lot too, and another trick would be to gently pull your eye to a side so that the skin is "smooth" and then apply, but I didn't have to do that for these shadows to work for me. If you message me on Instagram I can try helping you more by showing you how I apply this exactly (I'll send you a video).
@@ColourfulIndianthank you so much for such a kind & detailed answer! i haven't tried the castor oil yet but i simply moisturized my eyelids, let it sink in, applied my base, & then the eyeshadow on top in 2 thin layers & WOW! the moisturizer made a world of difference! i will definitely try the oil when i get a chance. :) i am certainly interested in seeing your application of the eyeshadow. i'll bug you over on IG, haha. thank you so so so much! 💕✨
Fantastic vid! Wow! I was so kindly sent the collection as well & I completely agree with you. The brand totally outdid themselves with this collection! I will absolutely subscribe, thank you so much for such fantastic content! 😍🤌

Your videos are so helpful for someone like me with a deeper skin tone. I’m able to see the nuances of each shade and how they may look on me.
