    Absolutely brilliant video… My Barn find looked new compared to yours!! Less dead things living inside… At least I didn’t have a tree growing in through it!!

    I had one of these years ago, still one of my favourite bikes, ran independant delorto carbs and put smaller front sprocket on it. What a hoot couldn't keep the front end down.

      😂😂 Sounds like a monster mate! I have just managed to get this one running so keep an eye out for the video coming out in next day or so! this practically sounds like it's been straight piped lol due to the fat hole in the exhaust, some will hate it but I love it 😂😂

    pressure washer would be first port of call, makes the job easier instead going through loads of shite

    • @dmc_autos
      @dmc_autos  6 місяців тому +1

      yes I 100% agree, issue is... at my unit (shipping container) I don't have access to water and I'm also quite weary of pressure washers on bikes withe everything exposed it blasts water into every crack and crevice of the bike... I much rather do it bit more gently first, also means you are 100x more likely to notice any damage or issues? buy yeah I do agree, pressure washer is needed 😂

    Honda 450 dx? Had the custom version night hawk, loved it, totalled when car pulled out from junction, his fault. May get another some day.

    • @dmc_autos
      @dmc_autos  6 місяців тому

      yup! Sure is a dx! pretty rare these lol, bloody nightmare when people do that... I've had a few close calls myself 😅 100% get another mate! I've ridden this thing about a bit now, oh my god the power it makes is insane for a 450... Will have videos to follow in the next few days!!! 😎

    Aquele pedaço de borracha que vc tapou o giglê principal serve exatamente para não dar entrada excessiva por ele.

    Well i admire your dedication cuz they werent great bikes even brand new. I had one and they're comfy bikes but always did under 50mpg which is pretty awful next to its rival, the gs500 which blew it away in the sales charts cuz it was the same price and ten times better.

    Got on last September that had been off road for about 10 years. Rebuilt calipers, cleaned carbs, derusted tank,recovered seat, new chain. MOT 8 weeks later!

      haha spot on mate! have to admit, imo there is just something really special about getting an old bike and bringing it back to life! may be because I'm used to a 125 but man they have a lot of power!

    • @Bumblingbimbler
      @Bumblingbimbler 6 місяців тому

      Plenty of power really, if you want a bit more fizz just fit a smaller front sprocket 😂

    Something I have found is some rubber will "rehydrate" with weldtite bike polish, which smells a lot like furniture polish...

    • @dmc_autos
      @dmc_autos  6 місяців тому

      haha ooh okay! I will definitely be giving this a go, do you think it'd work on the carb manifolds? alot of the time they are rubber and are a right ole pain to get in!

    Ignition wasn't locked, just off. Should have been easy to unbolt the lock. then a good locksmith could have cut a key to the lock.
    These were built in Brazil.

    • @dmc_autos
      @dmc_autos  27 днів тому

      was cheaper to buy a new ignition barrel set, I did look for someone to cut a key and he wanted £180!!! did call a few people and it was all about the same... would have been cool to keep original locks on her though!!

    • @katywalker8322
      @katywalker8322 27 днів тому

      @@dmc_autos last one I had cut was a lot less than that. And it would have resulted in still having a steering lock, all the keys matching still and no need to buy another fuel cap.
      If you are lucky you can strip the lock down and manually cut a key with a file and a blank
