    Following all these tips & tricks I have a thriving lettuce garden. I harvest daily, kale too. I am loving it. I've never grown it before. The spinach didn't make it but I'll try again next season. Thanks again for all your advice.

    Yay, Petrina is getting pretty flowers in her garden. Boo, its bok choy, and it is bolting. Yay, Petrina doesn't know the variety, so she wants the seeds.
    Boo, I want to know what that fabulous plant variety is. Lots of ups and downs in this video. LOL

    The bees love my bolted broccolini which has stayed flowered all winter long. It’s insane and the bees are back early this year!

    looks like I need to move the remaining lettice I have in the shade. I don't seem to mind the bitter. I love arugula so I just won't waste any

      Arugula is not so bad when it bolts thankfully. Yes, lots of heavy shade might help.

    it's my first time growing lettuce. they are in a 6 in starter pots and they just started growing tall and skinny
    we are in Utah so they have been indoor the whole time. can I save them?

    • @HomegrownFloridaZ9a
      @HomegrownFloridaZ9a  5 місяців тому

      Tall and skinny usually means bolting. You said you have them inside, how many hours of lights are you giving them? Usually bolting is caused by heat, long light hours, or the plant is old. Sounds like it might be that the lights are left on longer than 12 hours?

    My lettuce is very slow growing. Maybe it needs some nutrients or more sun? my indoor lettuce is very fast growing vs outdoors

    • @HomegrownFloridaZ9a
      @HomegrownFloridaZ9a  Рік тому

      I’ve found the indoor lettuce does grow faster. It’s in a perfect environment. Try giving your lettuce some liquid fertilizer to see if you see a difference. How much direct sun is it getting?

      @@HomegrownFloridaZ9a probably not enough I will move it. It is in a green stock to a sunnier location. And Ty fertilizer. Thanks
