I've only watched movies about Journey to the West and Wukong but just now started watching this show and this Wukong is by far my favorite. Even though this show is really old, the actors really brought their characters to life.

I would love a re-adaption of Journey to the West with a higher budget. Considering that the game is so popular and literally breaks records, I hope that it will become a reality.
you can say it's the sequel since the classic 1986 version was cut short due to low budget. After the explosive success they got invested a lot hence this version. You can see it's clearly better in terms of graphics, CGI, scale and fight scenes.

This season 2 is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than season 1. The fight scenes were so good and the soundtrack is fire
