Little tip with the soap. Apply it only to half of tire bead, then put non-slippery part on the rim first by hand. This way friction will help you with holding this half of a bead in place while you are working on the other half. Learned it mounting truck wheels where it's even more of a problem :)
I had the same problem when putting the wheel back in...the damn sleeves! Trondheim is a wonderful place, I have family in Spongdal. I would love to ride my xt660x from the UK to Trondheim one day
Hehe yeah I am not a very good mechanic 😅 You should come 😛 if I’m here I’d love to go for a ride 🙂 I ride through Spongdal pretty often when I’m just our cruising 🙂
@@RidetheBean Luckly not. Snow is not a problem over here! Hope you get to travel to africa. You are always welcome in Colombia so we can share a nice cup of speciality coffe and have a ride!
We hope so too! Don’t know at this point if we can go or not sadly. We would love to come and visit you in Colombia 😀 please let us know if you ever find yourself in Norway! ❤️
So rewarding, isn't it? I learned a trick from one of the old guys. Inflate the tube slightly just so it is round and put it into the tyre before you start putting the tyre back on. Then it is easier to get the valvestem into the hole and much less risk of pinching the tube. At least I find it a lot easier that way.
Haha, remember when i first tried the tire change like this. Damn it was hard and with no technique i used alot of time :-P But practise makes perfect :-)

A tip for your next tire operatione, use the side stand on the BMW to push down /losing up the tire from the rim.
Oh! That’s a funny one. That didn’t even occur to us 😀 might as well use the weight of the other motorbike as an advantage. Thanks ✌🏻
Good suggestion! We’ll keep that in mind for the front wheel 😛

You guys are too funny. Thank you for the entertainment 👌👌👌🤟🤟
You’re very welcome, Jorge! Glad you liked it 😀
Well done, its always satisfying when you complete a task like tyre changing :)
Yep! Feels good :) now we just have to repeat it enough so that we are comfortable doing it :)
Hey! much love from Colombia!🇨🇴 I´ve got the same bike!
Hi! How cool that you have the same bike 😀 guess you don’t need spiked winter tires in Colombia? 😅

That’s right! Come to think of it, Torgeir taught us that in the last video 😅 Thanks for reminding us, we’ll remember it for the front wheel 👌🏻
congratulation !! not easy for the first time but after few times it's going to be easier .
Thank you😛 it wasn’t as difficult as I had thought. But it can only get easier 😝

Yeah we watched a lot of UA-cam videos and were lucky to be shown one tricks by the people at the Yamaha store. Still took 2 hours 😶
Well done:) but what about balancing the wheel?
We have not learned that yet. But I guess we have to learn that as well. Any idea how we can do that in the field?
