Regardless of how much budget RE got, he’s been signing the wrong sort of player, we like strong/powerful players, who have a point to prove at stepping up a level. We aren’t signing players like this. Yet still plays a formation that needs players he isn’t signing. We look powder puff.
As a Swansea fan. Was expecting more from Luton yesterday with you guys in prem last season. Do you think you are missing Lockyer in defence? Think your manager was at a different game by his comments. Sounds like a lost manager
@watts4433 not sure to be honest lol. I think biggest issue is the manager for you guys. Considering you could see the tactics we're not working He didn't seem to change anything to try something different
Missing Barkley mainly. Need someone in Midfield to pick ball up, either hold, go past three players, or lay off the perfect pass to turn defense into counter attack. No issue with any of the players generally- need more of a leader at back like Lockyer- but we have depth and variety in the squad, when the majority are fit to play.
Swansea the better team home and away, the stats show that. But it's the score line that counts. If JJ didn't get sent off for a dubious 2nd yellow, I think Luton see it through for a 1-1 draw. No chance with 10 men, as Swanseas superior passing/ ball retention were always going to break down the defence and find a way through eventually.
Poor Mark, having to put his kid to bed rather than join the chat...I find the mid week games are a nuisance often clashing with bedtime stories whether watched live or on TV. If watching on TV I try to fit in with half time, but the little bugger never wants to settle/ go then. I might try audio books, leave it running and check on him after the final whistle!
@NW-gj2lm football will be around forever. Kids wanting stories at bedtime only lasts a few years. Spend the time with the kids, as will only look back and miss it.
@the_casualgam3r wise words! Yes, I fo normally cut the match short to do stories and often don't miss much! (Particularly when it comes to Luton matches)
Don’t agree with the comment that Luton should be beating teams in the championship, as they are not prem teams. Bottom prem and top champ teams not much difference between

Don’t know why you were expecting more - Luton have been rubbish all season

I recommend getting a Tonie box. It works for my kids.

@NW-gj2lm have a soft spot for Luton because my best mate is a Luton fan and because of lockyer.
Hoping you guys turn around your season.
