Reserve at Lake Butler Sound allows access to both west side and east side of Windermere without needing to go around the lake and private lake access on Lake Butler. If you're a member at Isleworth but live in LBS you get the best of all worlds and sidewalks that Isleworth doesn't offer inside a gated magnificent and more private community.
They are both great communities! Nothing better than living lakefront!
I wonder with all the development and building around Orlando. Will Windermere build a shopping center like Winter Garden Village or Winter Park Village. Maybe making the shopping center even more upscale that it will have and give a Central Florida Rodeo Drive feel. I think that will be interesting.
That would be amazing and such a great investment opportunity! I'm sure if more locals banded together to push for a project like this we can make it happen!

So where in Windermere can a military retiree purchase a house w/o a million dollar pension? Just toured toured there this past week w/ my wife and liked the area but many were gated, Guessing homes are outside a veteran’s income. Live here in N. VA.

the gated community aren't that good I would suggest buying a house that is in the town, its alot more convenient and amazing
do people on the west side near reams etc get the deeded lake access and amenities? or only the east side?
Hi! Only residents in the Town of Windermere get deeded access to The Butler Chain of Lakes. Is there a specific area you're interested in?
I don’t live in the east but our community has a pier with a lake and many amenities so no you don’t need to live downtown Windermere

Winter Park is known to be an affluent area in Central Florida but you can find some affordable areas not too far from it!
If you're thinking of moving to Florida just know this it is no different than Houston Texas it is beautiful the weather is perfect almost year round it is humid the mosquitoes will eat you alive but other than that I would live anywhere else and I've been around I've been around.
Hi Helen! Texas does have some beautiful areas as well. Frankly, I've never had an issue with the mosquitos in Florida and I've lived here my whole life! But, it's good to hear from other's experiences.
