I converted to Islam back when I was 19 living in Chicago aka the Mecca of the west. I still was drinking, smoking weed, smashing chicks and thuggin because of my environment and the fact I was young and impressionable. When I turned 25 I started making changes in my life and even more when I turned 30. No Muslim is perfect only a Muslim strives for perfection. Islam is perfect because of things like Ramadan where u could be Wilson out the whole year but dedicate itself to 30 days of self improvement. Most people outside of Islam never fast or give to the poor or really become a humanitarian for even a day. Islam also is not religion so u cant lump it together with Christianity or Judaism or Hinduism. If u do then of course u will not understand.

I know " Muslims " who don't pray daily, never read and don't read the Quran, who have tattoos and who hug and touch people of the opposite sex. People don't understand. The Prophet Muhammad means more to us than our parents, our kids, everyone basically. If someone talked shit about your mom, you'd punch him in the face. Now imagine someone ridiculing someone who means more to you than your mom. That is why shit happens. We don't allow any Prophets to be depicted: not Abraham, Moses, Jesus or Muhammad (keep in mind the former are our Prophets as well, though we believe that Christians their views about Jesus are distorted).
Everyone else that isn't a Muslim isn't bound by Islamic rules. If you don't like people drawing Muhammad (which they are well within their rights to do), then you can go live in an Islamic theocracy where you don't have things like freedom of speech or expression.

My brother and sister in Humanity, the reason also for NO PICTURE'S is because there will be idol worshipping. There was lots of prophets who came before to other nations and after the prophets death, they would make statues of them. As generations went by, people would start to pray to these statues and start relying on the prophets image on a statue then actually the unseen One and Only Allah (God) Almighty. That's when idol worshipping and paganism was created.
