why front license plate is white but rear is yellow?

That’s a good question that i honestly don’t know the answer for in my nearly 27 years in the UK that’s how it’s always been 😂

As far as I know, it's designed to give other drivers on the road a very quick way of telling if they’re looking at the front or rear of a vehicle. It's also illegal to show a white light at the back of the car while moving forward, and as the white plate is reflective, that may be mistaken for a white light from a distance.
