Thanks for posting this. What a trip down memory lane!!!!!!. 1994 was the first year & began to watch YTV. I taped shows like Are you afraid on the dark, Casper & Friends (1990) series, The Short Circuit Shorts & The Super Mario Bros Super Show all the time. I still have the tapes & still treasure them to this day.
@zevolev I must agree, I remember when the Concerned Children's Adverstisements were on in the 90's and early 2000's all were dramatic and very well acted representation of real life. But yeah YTV had colourful promos with animations that would shift, zig-zag, and even incorporated teenagers and kids and hosts in an intelligent way.
Thats why I rip the VHS/Beta tapes onto mpg files and store them on an external HD.... Trust me, the VHS/Beta tapes from the 80s/90s will start falling apart soon enough....
Im not worried cuz the cassettes are ALWAYS in boxes so no dust will get to them. I clean my VHS every now & then as well. My dad has audiotapes from 1961 & they still work good & videocassettes from 1980 & still work. DVD's will make them WORSE cuz there so delicate. 1 little scratch ruins the whole thing. I understand rewinding & Fast forwarding is a snap with DVD's but other than that WHY DID THEY UPGRADE.
@kylechwk Most of the Shows, Shorts & Ad's are already found on UA-cam. Back in 1993 I taped my first tape I recorded stuff onto. It mainly had Pee Wee's Playhouse & Sesame Street episodes on it. Back then I was wondering if I could play the videotape in reverse like Audiocassettes so I fucked with the magnetic strip & it broke. Stupidest idea EVER knowing Video tapes play in one direction!.

I know that. The tapes are in perfect condition. I don't even have a DVD recorder.

YTV fell off I would say 2000’s
To me it fell off in like 2015-2016 after the logo change. Still surprised that they have that logo after almost a decade.
