This was the first mod I ever downloaded...
I've always loved Pikmin.

In game, white pikmin don't release poison gas (I can see why they made them do it here of course), but they are immune to it, and cause poison damage to anything that eats them. In the original game, they can't be thrown farther, that's yellow pikmin, white pikmin do move faster through the air though, run faster, and carry things more quickly.
While here they just do a bit of extra damage, purple pikmin in-game had the ability to home in on enemies in the air, damage them on impact, and stun them. On top of being heavy lifters, their only weakness was their slowness. You could easily stunlock nearly every boss and win in seconds with just 10 or so. They were so overpowered in pikmin 2 that pikmin 3 nerfed them into oblivion.
Also I think this mod is super dead, it occasionally gets rewritten, but nothing is ever added to it, the bulborb is just as broken as it was 5 years ago.
This addon holds such fond memories. The Pikmin mod was (and is still) one of my top favorites. In fact, this was the addon that introduced me to Garry's mod and your channel. I remember watching some random Pikmin videos on UA-cam and a recommended video appeared with the Pikmin mod. And that video was your original Pikmin mod showcase video, which introduced me to your channel! Thanks for taking a look back at this fun and nostalgic mod!
I have never played a pikmin game in my life. This is my introduction to the series. I wanna play a pikmin game now.
If you dislike time limits then play Pikmin 2, unless you like to play games in orders.
Pikmin 1 is pretty limited, ugly and the movements are sluggish, the music isn't interactive (doesn't change based on what you're doing or who you are, etc)

I like Pikmin, and I will just tell you stuff about pikmin
*Pikmin Info:*
Red pikmin: Immune to fire and strongest introduced in pikmin 1
Yellow pikmin: Lightest and immune to electricity introduced in pikmin 1, but the electricity was in the second game
Blue Pikmin: Immune to water, introduced in pikmin 1
Purple Pikmin: no immunity, but is strong and helps defeat a boss in pikmin 2, introduced in pikmin 2
White Pikmin: Immune to Poison, fastest and in pikmin 2 and yes in this mod they release poison, but if ate they would be poisoned, introduced in pikmin 2
Bulbmin: Immune to everything but Crushing, explosions and consumption, introduced and only used in pikmin 2
Rock Pikmin: In pikmin 3 but not the mod, they can't be crushed and can destroy walls, introduced in pikmin 3
Winged Pikmin: can fly...thats pretty much it...introduced in pikmin 3 and basically avoid all hazards by flying
Puffmin: also not in the mod, a evil version of pikmin in pikmin one, they can be cured, but if you aren't quick or careful they will die, they are introduced and only used in pikmin 1
*Other Info:*
In pikmin 1 only Yellow pikmin can carry bomb rocks, while in the second game, they were used against you and in the third, all pikmin can carry them
The only pikmin that have 1 real ability is the Blue and winged Pikmin, all the others have atleast 2 things, or is just a bulbmin/puffmin
Puffmin are the only completely evil pikmin, Bulbmin don't actually attack you, but their mom does, the only way to get the bulbmin is to kill the mom and well whistle them
even though all pikmin are cute, the winged pikmin in my opinion are the cutest due to them being so short and stubby
Stuff I want to clear up is that bulbmin, white pikmin, and purple pikmin can only be found in the caves on pikmin 2. Also bulbmin can't LEAF (heh) the caves. Also purples can ALOT of impact damage and if scammed you can kill enemies very quickly, also they can stun enemies which just makes them op. Purples are also worth 10 units which means they can carry an item that takes 10 pikmin (or higher) all by themselves (or with other pikmin) but they have a slow carrying speed. The rock pikmin can only destroy crystal walls and other crystal stuff(because if they can destroy every wall well uh that would be broken), rocks also have impact damage but can't latch onto enemies. Pikmin can be turned into puffmin by an enemy called the puffstool, an enemy that is only in the navel forest (the 3rd level on pikmin 1). The puffstool turns your pikmin into puffmin by spraying a purple mist thing from its spores turning pikmin who are attacking the puffstool into puffmin. Oh and a little thing about winged pikmin is that they can cheese puzzles and are useful for some skips if speedrunning pikmin 3. Anyways this comment was amazing on telling people who aren't familiar with pikmin stuff about the pikmin types and such , I just wanted to make some stuff clear.
@@stockimageofanengineer thanks for the more clear info, because some things I forgot...or well...didn't think were bold enough to mention, such as puffstool...but I will say that I get the merging of the onions in pikmin 3, but at the same time it was kind of pointless, also yeah Winged pikmin, can pretty much be known as very OP if used correct, I still find the fact that Purple Pikmin aren't the strongest, yet are the pikmin type you will main in attacking in pikmin 2, but then pikmin 3 came along and made them useless, I don't think they can even stun anymore
will also say the blue pikmin being the best despite having one ability thing is funny...they can save other pikmin, but otherwise...whats their other abilities?

@@RABBIDFF also yeah i think they cant stun anymore (or its just very rare to happen idk i dont play pikmin 3 mission mode alot) they are good for early game transporting tho. They also do little amount of damage, its sad to see the chonky boys get slayed by the merciless nerf gods but its for the better.
This mod has actually been completely rewritten, again. It's so much better now
I love how during the skit at the very beginning, the shovel which you were using on the soil in the plant pots, was the "market Gardener" from Tf2

I'm not a big fan of Pikmin, but Pikmin is cool. Also I like how you make Odessa sound like Heavy from TF2.
