people are saying that it's just the phone camera that changes the face, but it's actually just perspective. Your face also looks 'weirder' when you look at yourself close-up in the mirror or someone sees you when they're right up your face.
the camera does have a little distortion though
usually the corners move out so by standing far away, your face is in the middle of the frame which shows a more accurate representation of yourself

Hey there! One of the other reasons that your gorgeous face can't be captured by camera well may be because of the lighting, so don't stand in places that have a harsh lighting or cause harsh shadows as they can actually change how your features look like or they can change your face shape and add or remove weight from your face. Also, they can exaggrate asymmetry too (everyone's face is assymetric, so you don't need to worry about that! But in this case they make it look much more exaggerated and unrealistic!) Also, this is a very important tip. Try taking a video of yourself in a good lighting and zoom in your face (the zooming has to be commensurate with the distance you have from camara) and then you can start posing for the camara and then take screenshots of the videos. Since you're moving in the video, everything will look more like how we see ourselves and people in our three dimensional world. So for example, if you want to take a picture in any type of lighting since we can't always manage to stand in the places that have the best lightings, try standing anywhere and taking a video of yourself and then start moving your face, if you only take a photo in a lighting that is not the best choice your nose, lips, eyes and etc can look weird in them but in the video you're showing all parts of your nose/lips/whatever (you're moving) so that's why the camera will give you a better and more realistic result. And always remember this, if you want to see if a picture is realistic or not, any picture that has been taken by back camara should exactly look like how you see yourself in mirror but reversed. So, if you think your picture is not you at all, just reverse it and if it doesn't look like you in a mirror then that means camara couldn't capture your beauty at that moment! Some people always blame looking weird in back camara photos on the fact that we're just not used to seeing ourselves reversed and while i do agree that you may think you don't look as good when your mirror version is reversed and it's the real you, i do NOT agree that this is the only factor you should consider here AT ALL. you will not look like a completely different person if your picture is only reversed. I'm a photographer who has also studied physics for years, so I hope these tips make a difference and believe me when i say a simple picture will never show how beautiful you really are! I'll be honest with you, anyone whom i take photos of always look much more Prettier in real life even if the photo is taken by a professional and looks very good you're always more beautiful than that! Well why would people see you as a rounded Lense view. That’s the real problem with phones and cameras. The cameras way too close for selfies and it bloats from the middle, you can somewhat see the curvature distortion.

PLOT TWIST: You can’t actually see how most of these ppl look like cause they use filters, surgery, make up, poses.
Some ppl are attractive some ppl are not.
Ppl who are attractive have it easier are seen are heard are loved.
Ppl who are not have to work for all of the above.
It’s always been like that it will always be like that.
That said, unattractive ppl live some of the greatest loves in their lifetime, cause if they find that one person they never question if they’re loved for they’re appearance or not,
