Road update 1 Nov 2024: We came back from Gokarna , halted in yana cave for 2hr detour and than travel to Haveri to get the Highway till Bangalore. - Till Yana caves road is good. - (if want to visit Yana cave, its very narrow road. Also Yana cave has two entry point, we came from Kumta, and its very long ride. Suggest to take Sirsi side entry and save with trek time to yana cave) - When coming back to main road (from where diversion taken to Yana caves), road are pretty bad, - esp in Forest area, which comes after Ghat end. Road are pathetic - When we about to reach Haveri (some 20km or 30 min) roads are good, though still single road of 100m. But much better than past road we saw from Yana caves. - its took us 196 km from GoKarna to reach Haveri, when we got the Highway. Note: Please try to have heavy breakfast in initial Gokarna trip, or before you take division toward Yana Caves, and have some snack. You will get restaurant, but still advising.

The road you took used to be best one with only 8hours from Bengaluru to gokarna, Due to sagarmala project road construction being done..
