You need this cable for Yamaha NS-SW050:
Hosa CPR-105 Unbalanced Interconnect 1/4" TS to RCA - 5'
You may need this cable as well (A 1/4" splitter):
1/4" TRS Stereo Male to Dual 1/4" TRS Stereo Female Jack
*This will allow for both Subwoofer and Headphones to be connected
HERE ARE SOME WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS:
Power off your digital piano and subwoofer.
1 Use the output labeled “Phones/Output” (1/4" Jack) on the back of DGX 670 and RCA end to Subwoofer
2. Fix Menu in DGX 670 to keep internal speakers on even though using a headset
3. Adjust Volume on back of subwoofer to 50% or 12 o'clock (Might come set as 0)
* Fix Menu in DGX
Menu - Utility (Using Cursor buttons)
On second tab find Speakers: Headphone Switch
Change to "On"
If you want to use a headset with the sub you need the splitter mentioned about and then you change the Headphone Switch to Off, only the headphones will have sound.

Thank you for watching 🎶
That is so cool 😎
Thank you for sharing that.
I own the DGX670 as well and I have to agree that I was expecting more volume out of the piano but... People can always add bigger and better speakers as you have demonstrated. Good to know 👍
Thank you for watching my video and let’s enjoy 🎹🔊🎶
Hello. This was very helpful as I was considering getting this subwoofer for my dgx670. Can you tell me did this subwoofer come with the phone cable to connect to the keyboard?
Thank you for watching my video.
When I bought a DGX-670, it included many things. But usually separately.
The cable needed that does not come with subwoofer is a 1/4” TS to RCA. The one we have is 5 feet.
If you want to connect a headphone and leave subwoofer connected then you need a splitter. I got it on Amazon.
If you use a headphone, please use utility menu for on and off. I have a splitter video as well.
Hi may i know is the bass one noted or it's more musical in real life ? i am planning to get one of this for my small bedroom to accompany my Yamaha soundbar .
I think of you only played the piano then the subwoofer wouldn’t be noticeable as much but I have to say that when playing a layered accompaniment, for example with drums, or regular music from your phone through the DGX-670 you hear and feel the music in a stronger way. It’s hard to say how musical a sub is but I would imagine with a sound bar you would have a improved experience with a sub for movies and heavier music.
Is it worth buying speakers over using the built in ones? Im trying to get the best sound quality
The DGX-670 does not have dedicated L/R speaker out jacks so I can’t say if getting higher watt speakers would be worth it. You could split the output to external speakers but I suspect the thinking was a home user would be satisfied with the pair of 6W internal and that the P series of keyboards lends itself to outputting to much more powerful speaker systems. Adding the subwoofer provides a richer bass for certain accompaniments with lower tone voices and if you think you might play music through the DGX-670 from your phone. The sound quality is already quite good from the internal speakers but I could see the value of send the sound to a larger stereo system with fancier speakers even as a home user.
Hi, wonderful video! Can you send me instructions to connect the subwoofer to my dgx 670?
Thank's
Thank you for watching my video. Sorry, I couldn’t find the instruction so I updated Description.
Please check. I hope it helps!
Thank's ❤
I have a bluetooth subwoofer speaker. Can this keyboard connect to it?
Sorry but while it seems you can connect your phone to the DGX-670 via Bluetooth to play music you cannot connect an external speaker via Bluetooth. I would have loved to connect my Harmon Kardon portable speaker but no luck.
