Came back to properly listen with my Bose headphones; sat through the ads too. The Solera has a deep and powerful sound to it, similar to what you hear on a recording. I'm impressed with those RC strings too. I'd heard of the brand, but not the Sonata model. I checked my Ramirez and it does indeed have a solid cedar top like yours (apparently, that's what the "C" stands for in "RA-C"). Can't wait to hear some new pieces played on the Solera! 😁
Thanks for listening, I appreciate it. It’s definitely a great instrument and I’m very excited about it! I’m excited to record some new music on it.
Looking forward to this one! Kremona's site says that this model is especially well-suited to Brazilian music. Hope we'll get to hear some Villa-Lobos in the near future! 😎
I’d love to get back into some of Villa-Lobos music. I haven’t had the time much quite frankly. I’ve been working on so much other rep. However, I’ve been loving this guitar so much. Maybe too much. I already put a nice unsightly dent into the lower bow. 😲 she has character already I suppose.
I wanna buy the same one. Beautiful sound you play by Kremona.
Glad you enjoyed great guitars!
@@JustinHatt1 === Dear Justin Hatt. Can you tell me please the name of the song starting at 8:05 ------ 8:45 Thanks. ===
It's Beautiful!!
I'm happy for you!!... Tell me, if you will...since I'm new to classical guitars....HOW does one lower the strings....if they happen to be too high?...as I think most don't have an adjustable truss rod. Thanks!... Beautiful sound, too!...
Thank you,
Sometimes you might have to take it to a luthier and shave down the bridge.
@@JustinHatt1 I thought of that.. I've done so much work on my electrics...that wouldn't be a problem but I'm surprised....wth the cost that they don't have a truss rod in them...screw just inside the sound hole... Thanks!..
Great Review. I comparing this to the kremona 90th anniversary. Did you consider that one also? Any reason for your final decision?
Great question, I considered price overall and other overall review. I work hand in hand with Kremona so I always get a first peak at some of their guitars
Was doing some research today on wooden chess sets, and found out that some of the best are made out of cocobolo (dark pieces ♟️) and flamed maple (light pieces ♙). I remember you mentioning this guitar had Cocobolo back and sides, so I thought I'd come back to give another listen 😁. It's specifically interesting that you mentioned the aroma, because apparently Cocobolo has a high oil content which can sometimes stain players hands, but also created a distinctive "floral aroma."
very good, both, you and guitar.
Thank you friend
Thanks for this. Been considering this as well as the Cordoba C12. How is the action on this (since there's no truss rod)?
I'm also looking at the Solea and the Cordoba C12. Since it's been a year I was wondering which one went for and if you have had a chance to play both. The only negative I've read on the Kremona is that the action is a bit high for some peoples liking.
@@jeffk9658 I didn't get to try the Kermona but I did get a Cordoba C12. It's a beauty and I'm very happy with it. You can feel the quality in that guitar. It's hard to imagine doing better in that price range.
Great review thanks Justin - 1 year on do you still love this guitar? Im seriously considering it for classical playing
I think Kremona makes a good guitar for the value, with that being said I would go try one out. Play it see how it feels in your hands. I own 3 Kremona’s they are nice to have around to use instead of my $11k concert guitar. Use it for teaching recording, and going on trips.
@@JustinHatt1 good advice, thank you
I recently tried one of these in a store and was blown away by its high quality. The tuners and case are better than on my Cordoba C10. I am thinking of a new guit with NO truss rod and looks like this or the Romida model will be it..I guess the Romida is the spruce version; Solea the ceder version....
But, Justin, keep your day job if you plan to be a jazzer (hee hee !) !
Mark, glad you got to try this out in the store! I also think the same thing. I am super impressed with its quality! Cheers to you! And yes, just finished my masters in classical, and now starting the jazz!
I have the Romida. It is a beautiful instrument.
I’ve read few reviews stating that it sounds a little “cold” or “harsh” like spruce. Lacking that classical warmth and rounder tones? How far would you agree with these allegations ?
Each wood has its own characteristics, I don’t think it’s cold or harsh. I think it has a nice warmth
Where I’d you buy? Thank you.
Very nice and sweet sound.
How do you connect to the laptop, if i may ask? Do you use external audio card or?
Recording directly via an external mic!
@@JustinHatt1 thanks.
sounds amazing! What strings do you recommend? Thanks
I use D’Addario pro artes normal tension, or Knobloch
Hi Justin,
Just to make sure. I ordered a Kremona Solea here in France mainly based on your review. Thre guitar looks nd seems to sound great but to my great disappointement was shipped in a cardboard box without any case, neither soft nor hard case. Did you order the case and extra ? For a EUR 1500 guitar, I don't understand.
Thanks
That is very strange, mine came with a case? That must of been a mistake? I would contact Kremona to see if there was a mistake on their end. Sorry to hear that! Hope it helps!
@@JustinHatt1 Thanks Justin. I wonder if there are some certain extras provided for the US market that are not available for us in Europe. I will call the shop here in France to check because this looks a little disappointing.
Best looking guitar I’ve ever seen! Sounds pretty great too, feel like selling it? I live in MI so I can come by and pick it up!
Send me an email friend, and we can work out a deal.
Hi! Do you think the price difference between the fiesta and the solea is justified? That cocobolo looks lovely
I believe so I love both guitars, If you have a chance maybe go try one out at your local guitar store. Makes a big difference in test driving them.
@@JustinHatt1 thanks for your answer my local shop is currently closed due to covid so I guess I have to be patient.
If you’d like I can set up a video call so I can play the guitar for you to hear it?
@@JustinHatt1 don’t bother the shop should reopen soon but thanks !
Okay! The offer is on the table!
Where did you get it? Thank you.
Through Kremona directly
What is the name of the song starting at 8:05 and ending at 8:45
Andrew York- Andency (named after a town in France)
Terrific demo! Been hoping to see some Solea videos. I have had mine for a few months and love it. The cocobolo back on yours and your rosette are quite different than mine, but both are appealing. You might consider swapping out your treble strings for Savarez new cristol high tension. I did and it added a lot more color to the tone. Please post more on the Solea. People need to hear it. Some complete pieces would be nice. Adelita? Here’s my weak performance ua-cam.com/video/hBEM7te95k0/v-deo.html
Hey friend,
Glad you enjoyed. It’s a pretty awesome guitar. I’ve been so blessed to be a Kremona guitars. I have some full pieces coming soon stay tuned! Nice video- just stopped on by.
how much does one of these cost ?
It depends on your country, but in USA, it was a little over $1K USD
Not a great bass response considering the price. I’d go higher in price to improve that. Not bad though.
I m a straight man but this guy is really handsome. Fire hair and well groomed trimed beard. 2 minutes ago I ve ordered my F65C model by Kremona
Thank you friend, very kind of you to say. I hope you enjoy your model as much as I do!
Though I admit I don't play classical I have a collection of this Soleá & Sophia as well as other ones like Córdoba Orchestra Fusion and more. I'm intrigued what outside attached mic (pencil like) could I use??? I've installed L.R.Baggs Nylon Classical Lyrics (high end) but honestly doesn't match the quality of these concert guitars. See Paco de Lucia never used a Piezo Electric 'cause those produce a lot of distortion which is awesome for rock 🎸 or blues
You're out of tune!
Haha absolutely not. Check your ear bud
Noce guitar friend,
I need some help from you if you can,
I am also a music lover and i love singing very much but i dont have any musical instrument to play and sing as well, i love guitars but i dont have enough money to buy one as i am a student 20 year old,
I need a guitar if you can help me,

I dont need money from you just a guitar.
Then i will also start making videos on youtube and try to earn some money.

Thanks for your inquiry. I’m not in a position to offer out a guitar with no charge. I myself am a 24 year old college music students. I work for my purchases to help fund my music career. I wish you the best. Keep working.
out of tune
I don’t think so pal. I have a masters degree in classical guitar, I think I know when I’m in or out of tune. Thanks for the shit post though ☺️
