Good early evening Mike. Sounds fairly quiet there, looks like a little pink in the sky.Was rather cold this morningĺ. May your day be blessed. Thank you for # 5.👋😉😂😎
Good afternoon, Carolyn; Thank you for stopping by as well as the comments. Other than being held up by freight traffic in several locations, it was a quiet day. A nice almost perfect spot for the active car. Even the radio was not so loud as to be intrusive. Yes. My fingers were on the numb side and that was with the heat packs to wrap my fingers around. It is 81 F. here at 1630. Too warm for the last part of October. I am afraid we have been spoiled with all of the lingering warm weather. That is slated to change abruptly on Saturday. I'll believe it when I feel it. Anyway, I hope that you have a great evening down there. Please take care and stay safe! 😎👋🐓👌👍
Good morning, Patrick; I thank you for tuning in as well as the comments. I appreciate it. Have a great Wednesday out there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning from Northern Ohio. Nice approach and on-the-money stop... quick turnaround this morning. Day 4 of rain and cold around here, but a nice warm sunny stretch coming up starting tomorrow. Stay safe!
Good afternoon, y2kmonte; I thank you for stopping by along with the comments. They did hit the stop on the dot. Some stop with the active car much farther east. We are on the back side of that blob of cold air. May get a shot of seasonal temperatures this weekend. Hoping it doesn't get too crazy. Hope that you have a great afternoon and evening back there even with the weather. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning, Jeb; I thank you for stopping by as well as the comments. I am unsure what his issue was today. One time he is smiling and chatty. The next time as he was today. Hope that he works it out. Hope that you have a great afternoon and evening. Please take care and stay safe!
Good Wednesday morning Mike! Clear and chilly 33 degrees here in southeast Iowa this morning at 08:00 Iowa time! Should be 58 here today if we’re fortunate enough! A quick stop again this morning I see. I’m guessing you didn’t ride your “trike” this early morning! Unless I was completely bundled up I wouldn’t. Have a great Wednesday out your way Sir! I definitely am here! Mark in Iowa.
Good morning, Mark; Thank you for dialing in and the comments. We went thru 60 F some time ago and still climbing. Should make for a comfortable trike ride to its hibernation quarters. That will happen a bit later. I did have the gloves with the hot packs in against the tops of my hands. The fingers were a bit numb around the edges. Have a great afternoon and evening back there. lease take care and stay safe!
Good afternoon, Lou; Thank you for dropping by along with the comments. Yep. That's the way they should be. And they were trying to make up a minute or two on the run to Denver. Looks to be another one tomorrow. Hope that you have a great afternoon and evening back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning Mike. Train 5 moving right along this morning. Looks nice a cool this morning. 46 degrees here, with a forecast of rain in the city, snow in the higher elevations. Not ready for that snow part. Enjoy that coffee this morning.😊😊😊😊😊
Good morning, Gerald; Thanks for stopping by as well as the comments. The wind did have a bite to it this morning. The gloves and heat packs felt good. Nothing threatening here with a high of 80 projected for today and tomorrow. Then the temps do a nosedive with a slight chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday. I'll believe the moisture when I feel it. It will be nice to have the temperatures where they should be. We have been spoiled with the higher-than-normal temps this year. I hope that you have a great afternoon and evening down there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good cool 42 morning to you Mike from mid Tenn. That hot approach looked like for a moment he was not going to stop period. Conductor not a friend yet it appears for no greeting. Perhaps he's thinking about breakfast upcoming in Denver. Doesn't appear to have missed too many meals. Shame on me!
Good morning, Ben; I thank you for tuning in as well as the comments. True temperature wasn't too bad. The wind was moving rather briskly and that did drop the wind chill. I am unsure about that A/C. One time he is smiling and chatty. The next is as he was today. Oh well. Yep. Wegovy, Mounjuro, or Ozempic would help. I am using Mounjuro and wow! Have the glucose levels down, taken off a couple of pounds that I regained over the summer and my jeans aren't as tight as they were a few weeks ago. He'll work it out. Have a great afternoon and evening back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Interesting to hear about weather around the country. Here in NorCal overcast, 59 degrees, little drizzle early morning. Sky clearing now (2pm), high of 79. Do have a wind advisory Thur to Sat, off shore wind, elevated fire danger. Soon I will explain how I found your channel, I have to figure out how to make a long story boring Best as always Ted
Good afternoon, Ted; Thank you for dialing in as well as the comments. I just returned to the house after taking the trike to the winter hibernation location. I will get back to the shed tomorrow to remove the battery as well as cover it with a spanking new tarp. There is some other goods that need to come to the house while some extra stuff here needs to go there. Gotta make room for more stuff. It is 81 F right now (1500 MDT). Supposed to be this warm again tomorrow. No moisture falling from the sky. May see a high of 50 on Saturday. More seasonal for here. I'd be interested in reading as to how you found the channel. There are several people overseas in Australia, Scotland, Paris, India, and now viewers in Naples, Italy. Interesting as to how they found it too. Anyway, don't fly the kites and keep the bumbershoots handy yet furled out there. Please take care and stay safe, Doc!
Good afternoon, Ken; Thanks for dropping by along with the comments. I appreciate it. Yep. I think they were trying to gain back a minute or two into Denver. Hope that you have a great afternoon and evening back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning Mike. You must need a break as KJ took all the passengers last night. LOL We almost got the sunrise this morning. Have a great day and stay safe out there.
Good morning, David; Thank you for stopping by and the comments. Yep. Marne got quite a few passengers last night. Then they left their vehicles there making me park on the other side of town. LOL! Actually, just a couple of car lengths farther east. Even have a car from Kansas. Oh well. There was a tad bit of light in the east today. Hope it stays bright and shining until I get the trike into hibernation quarters. Have a great Wednesday over there. Please take care and stay safe!
Morning, Mike. You're having a heat wave today with 80°. We'll probably top out today at 62° , getting down to 43° tonight. Good thing the HVAC man was here y'day for the fall inspection. Must say #5 roared into the statipn today. You barely had time to call out the engine numbers. Stay safe & be careful
Good afternoon, Jim; Thank you for tuning in along with the comments. We get more 80s tomorrow before the thermometer takes a dive to a more seasonal range. We do have the winter shroud on the condenser unit for the A/C. That's to keep the leaves out when they decide to let go. I think they were trying to gain back a few minutes from the slowdowns east of here caused by freight traffic. BNSF still has to pay the bills. Have a great afternoon and evening back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Yeah good morning Mike it looks like another routine day. It got real cold down here last night. I'm sure that people on the train are all nice and warm
Good morning, Robert; I thank you for dialing in as well as the comments. Those that I saw were hunkered down under wraps and coats. Didn't see anyone in the sightseer/lounge car. Oh well. It is warming nicely here. We are on the back side of the mass of cold air. Our turn comes this weekend. Maybe. LOL! Have a great afternoon back there. Please take care, stay warm, and safe!
Hi Mike...I'm back ... :):):) It's been a gruelling 2 or 3 years if not more. Knee replacement surgery, heart surgery, still miss the wife...Hope you are well...:):):)
Good evening, amtrakharry; Welcome back! Thank you for dropping by and the comments. You have had a run. It is nice to rad you have survived all. I hope that you stick around for a very long time, my friend. Please take care and stay safe up there!
This is really picky, but I've spent much of my life in transportation. Passengers getting off the train are "arriving." Passengers boarding are "departing." The point of reference is the station, not the train.
You do have a point, and it is well taken. Sorry that my naval ways upset the world. LOL! I will endeavor to keep that in mind as time goes by. Please take care and stay safe!
