    Companies benefit from it.
    Idols lose their mental health from it.
    Usually the idols get hate for the companies actions and they won't feel very good knowing that hundreds of thousands of people hate them not because they did something wrong but their company. I hope idols don't have to go through this too much. 💔

    Rage bait is so annoying. I instantly lose attraction to this group (or product in other aspects) because if your music/product was good, why do you need rage bait? To me rage bait signals "what I did wasn't good enough, but I still want attention" 🤷🏼‍♀️ too bad so many people fall for it 🙄 but once you block out all sources who use(d) rage bait, life is so much better

    Thank you sooo much for bringing up the ETA one!! I remember trying to explain to people that there was no way the names she chose, the car scene for the teaser, and the song name ETA, were all just coincidences. It was to solely bring in attention for the comeback! And it’s Min Heejin’s biggest strategy! She does it almost every comeback and she doesn’t even need to. It’s NewJeans. People will tune in regardless

    Love the little intro to kpop rage bait and shock marketing. Although i don't personally like rage bait in terms of marketing and sometimes find it not needed (especially if its the only way that the group will garentee that attention wil be on them) i do get where these companies are coming from as it supposed to provide shock and attention to the product (being these groups and songs) itself

    i really agree with you, it affects smaller groups/ artists so much more and usually more negatively
