@@TrianglesAndCircles so true - I’ve been thinking about that - one reason is his sources, old rap, ska, reggae, jazz, rock - not all kids would get that.
Second is the lyrics/bars - again referencing stuff not all kids would get, Zena here, ancient. Draw, old Mancunian word for hash resin. And loads more in other tracks.
@@spruce381 It's all timeless and collectively and intelligently intertwined the way Ren does it doesn't matter when one was born, or where one's prejudices live or lie, it seems to unit people across the spectrum.

You say Ren's quickly becoming your fave. Well you're quickly becoming my fave reactors. Keep em coming, you are going to have a blast discovering Ren and The Big Push! There are some real bangers to get pumped for like Power, 1990, Losing it, and The Hunger, but there's also some really deep cerebral masterpieces like Money Game (1 & 2), Sick Boi, and so many others my 40yo brain is already forgetting. And then there are the emotional roller coasters of "The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full version)" and How to be Me, Freckled Angels, Diazepam, Dignity, and the list goes on and on. ❤❤❤

I Thank you. Salty. Ever since I saw "Hi Ren" for the very first time on your channel, I can't count how many reactions I've watched to that song, so thank k you for introducing me to him. I agree wholeheartedly with your opinion of him, except for me your use of the qualifier "fast becoming" your favorite new artist. Not knocking your opinion, but for me Ren IS my favorite new artist, bar none, but to be fair I've probably listened to a lot more of his stuff at this point than you have. This young man is on a path to being one of the greatest artists of his generation, in my opinion--full stop. Even more so than Bo Burnham, more so than Tim Minchin, both of whom I love for their great musicianship and clever writing. But Ren is special.
