a couple minor corrections, hairbeasts always deal arbor (nature) dmg, and player classes can deal any type of damage based on their weapon type (I made some one off comment about necro, ignore it!) thanks guys!
@@stinnna To be clear, it's something like 30-40% most likely, and this is only for any time that you actually "proc" the affinity damage - e.g. even if you're a cryoknight with a tempest weapon, you might have a 40% chance to proc - and it will apply the full damage. This is my understanding - the difference is that when your class matches, you get an increased stat roll on the weapon - hammermages will always roll 70-89% on tempest weapons for example, but cryoknights and guardians will only roll 25-49% - numbers not 100% confirmed but this seems to be the case
Weapon crafting paired with the quest Lost and Found allows you to craft Epic (Orange) weapons with multiple copies of Purple (Rare) weapons. I am excited to get to this point as it will increase the kill speed of mobs. If starting a new chapter or trying to upgrade existing gear. If epics can also be sold when it is eventually implemented that will be a huge market for players who are new but just unlocked trading.
Great points - there's also the armory unlocked in EP4 to buy weapons every 30min (random roll) for all episodes - some people experiencing different rates but definitely gear up to Rare available to buy directly too
Aye this is my first time on your channel and lastnight I was grinding guards on a second character and I actually saw you fighting there lol. You were drinking your pot right after you switch from ranged to melee, which is what caught my attention hah.
Hey Martinoz, all of our research says that the shield just provides stats - the attacking style doesn't matter even if 1hr or 2h - unclear if this is a bug or intended, but right now just use the highest dps!
Do the capes give any stats or just wait to buy until you have the maxed one on lock? Ive just been spam killing everything 3-4 levels under me so it isnt a 50/50 fight
this all seems pretty obvious as the combat is not that complicated i was curious to hear some loot differences between mobs or good locations to farm at least
For Episode 1, Thieves drop XP pots, Goblin Soldiers drop potatos, Goblin Chiefs drop an alch mat to make XP potions, for the most part it seems certain mobs drop certain groupings of gear, and that higher tier equipment becomes less common as you get higher level, especially past 200. All the items (like the potions) that drop tend to keep scaling - e.g. the 5% potion at the level 4 thug becomes a 6% at a higher tier thief. I know one of the tiers now is dropping 7 AND 8% potions. We are still learning more about the drop tables, cheers
@@Jimmyisabot Thanks!! This is useful. I started noticing mats being dropped only yesterday, like potatoes/apples. Maybe because I only got past 20-25 in scout/guard at this point? Before it was just gear or nothing except a money-drop. Do you know/experience if there's any mob preference (except the ones you're effective against) to kill for loot/gear? (higher drop rates etc)
Yo nice video. What can you do with that combat level? Is there like cool bosses, or quests to do or like can you kill things with your friends or is your level too high to kill things together? I want to try to get into the game but I keep hearing people say there's nothing to do. So i've been watching videos and idk what to think about it still.
@@koenwijnen8278 Yeah, that's common knowledge lmao. So are people wrong? There's plenty to do and it isn't a skin unlocking simulator? Because i've seen those in the past and artificial grind games don't last long in todays market.
Nothing much yet. You can use it to make money for training other skills mostly. Really the game as it is now is just a framework more than anything given it's in alpha, but pvp and the classes getting fleshed out are stated as high priorities and they have taken bossing content into consideration. Rn the game is kinda just for the hardcore skiller types but that's not the full scope.
Combat is so boring in this game. There's nothing special. No unique gear pieces. Enemies are all the same damage sponges that drop the same items. No bosses to grind, nothing to target farm. It's just an incremental game with no goals other than a bigger number. In every other MMO or RPG, getting to max combat level is just the means to an end. In Brighter Shores, it's the means AND the end.
I'm not in total disagreement! I think you should maybe check back in 6 months honestly, the game is going to get more content - we know party content (and the grouping system), as well as Bossing are both coming. It is still early access, remember even the wildy wasn't around in RS til 6 months after RS launched, it took them over a year to release dragons equipment, and then within that year content just exploded (agility, herblore, thieving) even w/ a small team. I think a lot of the content people will love will be coming in 6-12mo
a couple minor corrections, hairbeasts always deal arbor (nature) dmg, and player classes can deal any type of damage based on their weapon type (I made some one off comment about necro, ignore it!) thanks guys!
But you still get that 40/50% boost when the damage type correlates with your own class right?
@@stinnna To be clear, it's something like 30-40% most likely, and this is only for any time that you actually "proc" the affinity damage - e.g. even if you're a cryoknight with a tempest weapon, you might have a 40% chance to proc - and it will apply the full damage. it's a small world! it is exciting to see everyone out and about though, better than being in some endgame isolated spot far away from people
Great video man, This game has revived my love like osrs did
What’s your opinion on just leveling all episode combat skills equally? I’m currently 40 in each
This is definitely a good move and will probably feel best for your progression!
BANGER VIDEO THE GOAT
you're the goat!!
Keep uploading!
Seen you around. Keep grinding bro.
Hi Jimmy, thanks for the video, a question though, the defence of the shield only applies in combat if using one hand weapon or not?
Hey Martinoz, all of our research says that the shield just provides stats - the attacking style doesn't matter even if 1hr or 2h - unclear if this is a bug or intended, but right now just use the highest dps!
Hi m8, how much knowledge % do you get from one mob is thiss stil at 3% or is it different?

They currently do not have any bonus stats.

i find the problem is, when you choose a class, you just get greens and very very rare blues
