I played in a Star Trek RPG game with my usual group. Our DM wanted to try something different and had written down the positions on the ship on slips of paper and we each drew a job out of a hat. The DM played the captain and gave us our missions. He had each of us give him a detailed background for these characters before the game.
I had drawn the pilot job and decided to make my pilot a Woman and a Lesbian and here was born Tasha Nakamura top of her piloting class at the academy and trained as a security officer before she found her passion for flying. Note that this was not the first time I played a woman or a gay character and had stated who she was in the backstory.
During session one an ensign from engineering had started flirting with me and I ignored HIS advanced instead focusing on my character practicing her martial arts. The ensign asked for CQC lessons and I obliged. The next session the captain calls me into his office to discuss my inappropriate relationship with the ensign stating that the rumors around the ship were that he and I were shaboinging. I asked the captain if he had read my files. He responded with "of course I read your file I've read everyone on this ship's file. That doesn't change the inappropriate nature of your relationship with ensign so and so." This is the point where my smugness over took me. "So if you've read my file then you'll know I'm gay." DM pulls out my background and quickly rereads it. *Insert backpedaling captain here* "am I free to go captain?"
"Yup you just uh... keep up the good work"

The sad part about all of this is that the vast majority of Christians aren't anything like this what-so-ever, as a polytheistic bisexual who is completely open about both (but not shove it in your face open mind you) I've met more accepting Christians than I have bigoted ones, true most of them are non-denominational and that plays a large part in their beliefs but I've met accepting Southern Baptists, Seventh-Day Adventists, Episcopalians, Catholics (Both Roman and Orthodox) and even the extremely rare accepting Jehovah's Witness (The rest of their kingdom hall hated me but that family overlooked the sexuality due to my willingness to learn about their beliefs instead of scorning them from the start and actually treated me pretty well). As the saying goes "A few bad apples spoil the bunch", I've been threatened like that before, even had one guy tell me he was gonna crucify and burn me on my front lawn for being a heathen, but I know better than to condemn his faith for the actions of one over-zealous idiot.
Moral of the story: Look at who someone is and the actions they take in life and judge them on that, not their skin color, sexuality, beliefs, etc.

It's not that Christianity is bad, but fanatics exist everywhere. It just happens to be one of the dominant religions on Earth, therefore there are simply more of them. I wonder why they can't see the hypocrisy they have, no god that is good and worth of worship would encourage violence against peaceful people with other lifestyles.

Ah yes, what a brave warrior of God. Tries to Teamkill in-game to punish the couple, and when he obviously loses, he threatens to kill them IRL, only to try and immediately backpedal when someone threatens him with legal action. If he were a true rabid zealot, he'd say "I fear no laws of man" and taken it like a champ; he would have still been an odious jerk and a monster, but you'd at least admire the sheer size of the brass balls on him. Instead, he thinks his bigotry and 'faith' will protect him from all consequences, and folds like a cheap lawn chair the moment he realizes that's not the case.

As a guy who had a lonely childhood, I can confirm all crit was talking about it.
Being lonely f-ing sucks. When people wanted to hang out with me, I was ecstatic, even if they made me feel like a joke.
Wasn't until grade 8 when I actually found a good friend and it took til grade 10 until I actually felt like I was apart of the group (funnily enough because of the school's DnD club).

felt that so hard. i haven't really been bullied back in school but i was excluded from a lot of stuff from my more popular classmates, seen as one of the weirdos and treated accordingly, etc. i remember getting out of highschool and into college and being absolutely flabbergasted every time someone treated me with basic human decency. like i was in a group project and my teammates asked if i wanted to come with them to go grab something to eat while we were taking a break on the project, and i was so shocked that they wanted to include me in something that i didn't even know how to react.
i've been out of highschool and that environment for almost 6 years now but i'm only just now really learning how to set boundaries and stand up for myself instead of just being so desperate for any kind of friendship that i'll accept any attempt thrown my way (and thus accidentally let toxic people take advantage of me, or stay with people even if they made me super uncomfortable). i'm still not perfect at it tho and have to actively remind myself that i have worth and don't need to settle for any person that'll give me the time of day, but need to instead make actual healthy friendships and get out the trash people. it's hard and i'm not even sure if i'll ever be able to completely move past it even tho i'm trying my hardest - being treated like shit as a kid and constantly pushed aside/excluded really does leave some deep trauma on people.

Man, we had a religious guy in an old group - but it ended up being funny instead.
There was a dungeon, with each level being one of the 7 deadly sins in theme, and the more sins we failed the more minibosses we had to fight.
The only Christian dude in the group failed THREE of the four total sins we messed up, by himself XD
I remember two of them. One was a couple of rooms in he said out loud "Hey, we're doing an awesome job!" or something to that effect, and then a voice boomed through the dungeon "TEST OF PRIDE FAILED". Mind, this was AFTER we'd already messed up Wrath (thanks to a few will saves), so IDK why he even said that. Really an unforced error.
Later on, we came to the mid-dungeon room, which had a bunch of health potions. I took one, and was fine, because this was obviously the test of gluttony... And then he walks up and *shovels an armload* into his bag of holding. "TEST OF GLUTTONY FAILED".
    He IRL cried XD
I... I have no idea how he didn't clue in, we'd been in this dungeon for like 3 real-time hours by that point, and knew it was always judging us and what we said. It was really funny, we didn't even mind fighting the extra mini bosses.

yea there's a lot of culty evangelism church's out there. it mostly depends on the pastor and how much he gets off on the "im so rightious saying the things, no one likes to hear, but i have to say it, so this makes me the most righteous, pompous attitude" none of these people have actually attempted to read the greek or hebrew, they just parrot shit they have no clue what there talking about.
yahwah means " i am what is" and yahovah means " i am what become" the first verse of james says God is the logos.
God is reality and elohim. el meaning "the greatest, top, chief, best" IM- is a suffex used at the end of a word to convey " everything, and every subcategory that could ever be related to the concept before it.
So God represent reality, truth, logos. and the greatest reality conceivable by understanding it. so humanity can adopt it. it was old enlightenment philosophy. God was always the voice of reason/truth in the old testament books, or the writing on the wall.
but then you get mystism around 800-600 bc who created a post mythology fanfictions, with a celestial God what we have know. with angels and demons
then when God went back to being the logos in early greek christianity, it got taken over by gnostic mysticsism as well. which has been the status quo since, of heaven hell devil, dogmas ect. when the greek words dont fit those
same thing happened to the dao as well, it was living, understanding reality, then it got turned magical, celestial, heaven hell angels demons over time.
actually all older religions where science is the God, it eventually turns into a hokey magical religion pantheon generations later.
its sad its a very wise book which they tremendously fuck up.

rather then a pastor thinking hes the master and your his flock and it goes top down, shut up, don't question, listen to your weekly propaganda.
the main culpit was st. Augustine who was a gnositic who kill the church from within. he neither read greek or hebrew Augustine (354-430) to develop the first systematic defense of religious persecution in the history of western civilization. Augustine called his approach “righteous persecution” because it justified persecution for the righteous cause of saving people from the eternal torments of hell. he gained favor with the roman emperor and when the bishop of rome died, the new bishop got swayed which we now know as the pope. they then persecuted and killed all those who didnt agree.
martin luther was a monk of st augustine. since he never went back far enough it was never corrected. so even in protestant religions it never got better but only gotten worse, more superstitious and toxic.

yea there's a lot of culty evangelism church's out there. it mostly depends on the pastor and how much he gets off on the "im so rightious saying the things, no one likes to hear, but i have to say it, so this makes me the most righteous, pompous attitude" none of these people have actually attempted to read the greek or hebrew, they just parrot shit they have no clue what there talking about.
yahwah means " i am what is" and yahovah means " i am what become" the first verse of james says God is the logos.
