I know what it's like to lose someone you love but I'm here to tell you that it's gonna be ok because you have all the love in the world (from us and Jesus as well ).
I used to be one of those people who thought they're "just" pets, if one dies or gets lost, you just get a new one. That all changed when my mom had a stroke about 8 years ago. After going through 2 years of rehab, she still wasn't quite up to what the docs thought she should be. They suggested that she needed a companion to occupy her while I was at work. One day, I brought home 2 kittens. Those boys got her up out of her chair and gave her unconditional love for another 3 years. When she went to hospice, I got permission to take them to visit her. On her final day, they laid with her and both howled when she breathed her last...they KNEW! I thought about giving them away afterwards but just couldn't do it. They'll be 6 years old next month and both of them still sleep in moms chair every night.
They know and love their humans - the people that love them, that take care of them, that keep them safe and cared for. We've been lucky with cats and dogs loving us.
Ginger's story brought a tear to my eye, that's love! If the world would learn to love half as much as an animal could imagine the people we would be. God bless you all.

I left my pup in care for 10 days to visit my family across the country and when I came back the tears were immeasurable. The way my little Deku ran up to me, whimpering, crying, erratically shaking about like he couldn't contain or fathom his own happiness. It was only 10 days. But it felt like forever for both of us. Truly, the love that is shared with a dog is one of the purest and most innocent.

As an infantry soldier myself, this video put a knot in my throat. I remember coming home for the first time in years, my dad had taken my puppy Spike, a brindle pitbull (135lbs) And the noises he made when he saw my face. Very touching.......

Had a dog for awhile, he had been abused/abandoned and taken from the streets by family of a friend of my oldest brother. They had another dog and a baby and was first looking for a dog sitter for the 2 and wound up giving him to us and took the smaller dog. He was very scared the 1st week we had him. It took him several months before he settled. At first he only trusted my oldest brother. He let me pet him first, same day my younger brother. We were still young teenagers at the time. Then my mom and lastly my dad. He later on got sick I think. He died about 10 yrs ago.
I remember watching a video of a dog that was reunited with its person after a a month or two. It was so happy that it literally wagged it's tail into a knot and fainted from sheer joy. Dogs are awesome. We don't deserve them.
Thank you to all the men and women who have fought for our country I don't think people know how hard you train as a person and how much you miss your family. You must miss them so much, and to stay away fighting for your country, saving lives, you don't know how much you are appreciated. ❤️
I have a 19yr old cat named scary. I know she will leave me soon so I was looking for another cat to be mine and her's companion and so I wouldn't be alone when she leaves. I didn't realize my neighbor upstairs had puppies. She invited me to see them. They were pit bulls. I picked up the 1 that was so sweet and the runt in the litter. I fell in love. She's been by my side ever since. She's never hurt my cat but gives her kisses. I'm disabled and can't really walk her. So she's trained to potty on puppy papers. She's 1 1/2yrs old now. She's still a sweetheart but that big bark of her's scares everyone. She's my sound alarm, my heater, bed companion, bath assistant, kitchen helper, dirty dish washer, my friend. I love her more everyday. Her name is Seti. A red nose brindle with matching eyes. But she seems to think she's a lap dog. A 60lbs lapdog!

She's very sweet and loving. She's given me more than I ever expected. When my friends and family left she was was always with me. She's a fantastic dog. I wouldn't change her one little bit. And yes my cat Scary is still with me also although she's really slowing down. She sleeps most of the time so her time is near. I know Seti will be by my side when she gone. I couldn't ask for more of my 2 friends. They are both very special to me.

The chickens didn't run away when i was there they were calmly eating but would run away if a adult showed up. The best thing about about animals is that they don't lie or cheat behind our back.

I didn't realize my neighbor upstairs had puppies. She invited me to see them. They were pit bulls. I picked up the 1 that was so sweet and the runt in the litter. I fell in love. She's been by my side ever since. She's never hurt my cat but gives her kisses. I'm disabled and can't really walk her. So she's trained to potty on puppy papers. She's 1 1/2yrs old
now. She's still a sweetheart but that big bark of her's scares everyone. She's my sound alarm, my heater, bed companion, bath assistant, kitchen helper, dirty dish washer, my friend. I love her more everyday. Her name is Seti. A red nose brindle with matching eyes. But she seems to think she's a lap dog. A 60lbs lapdog!

@@chipppsssaaa269 Thank you! Seti means even more to me than before. My mom passed away July 31st. Seti wouldn't leave my side no matter what I was doing. She knew I was hurting and upset. She's very sweet and loving. She's given me more than I ever expected. When my friends and family left she was was always with me. She's a fantastic dog. I wouldn't change her one little bit. And yes my cat Scary is still with me also although she's really slowing down. She sleeps most of the time so her time is near. I know Seti will be by my side when she gone. I couldn't ask for more of my 2 friends. They are both very special to me.

@@larry9493 Does yours take up the whole bed? I'm single and have a queen. I start off in the middle but I wake up on my left side on about 9" on one edge of the bed! Between Seti and Scarey, they nearly kick me out of my on bed or off the sofa! 😂 And I don't remember the last time I could go to the bathroom by myself! 🤔😱🐕🐈😂

Meg, Would you please tell your brother how very much my family and I appreciate his service to this country so we may have freedom. I was raised to be patriotic and to always stand, right hand over heart for the national anthem and when repeating the Pledge of Allegiance, always stand with hand over heart facing the flag. I got side tracked there for a second but I have so much respect for everyone that is able to serve their country. Their families aren't thanked enough for the sacrifices they make. Children and pets have such a sweet and touching greeting for their dad when he or she comes. Once again, thank all of you for your service and it is an honor to say I am an American due to soldier's like your brother. May God Bless you, your brother and the rest of your family. The great state of Alabama loves our men and women in all uniforms.

@@sander6438 yes when i was small i used to feed chickens and hens grains. I didn't have friends during that time so i looked towards animals as a friend. The chickens didn't run away when i was there they were calmly eating but would run away if a adult showed up. The best thing about about animals is that they don't lie or cheat behind our back.
