For me it’s not that surprising cuz I have been calling my father by his first name since I started talking and he is cool with it. Actually I have seen my father as a friend/brother for my whole life. He also sees my like a friend/brother.
The older ones doing this can be considered as a joke on their dads as they know to call him dad but the young baby ones not so funny as they do not understand the concept of this and will think it is ok to call their dads by their first names it is disrespectful to the fathers and you can tell from their expressions that they don't like it or find it funny like the moms do, I wonder if mom would find it funny if the little kid did it to them, I can answer for them NO, they will not.
