Very good - for those wondering why Air Cons - they used to have a lot of copper in them, slowly the amount of copper used has gone down to save on cost but the units don't work or last as long so need replacing sooner anyway. If you see someone driving around with a trailer or truck load of scrap air cons and think they're broke, think again.

Thank you for the realistic review of copper. I keep hearing about the drastic copper shortage, and you have explained how that is not the case. However, you make a good point that there is evidence that there could be supply disruptions in the future, and it just seems like it is getting harder to build mines. If there is an economic slowdown later in 2024, I think copper will do very well as we come out of it.

PM will trade in the range until May I believe. The job number is bogus in my opinion. The Fed is between a rock and a hard place. BTFP ending in March and banks are still not out of the wood especially when they hold rate higher. In my honest opinion, Fed is done hiking rate. It’s just a matter of time when Fed need to pivot and how many cuts. It will not go back down to 2%. There is a very high chance of more hot wars coming which is a black swan event to help PM. We live in interesting times. Stay nimble and alert.

Geoff, I feel you offer a sober explanation on macro and commodities. The fact much of your information is a public service is a wonderful reflection on you. Thank you!
I have a question for you. Many people are reading the free pdf or listening to the YT doc on the "Great Taking", by David Rogers Webb.
He is also experienced and successful in finance and forwarding information as a public service, and he has deeply researched info/data to determine this info.
One of his comments is that our equities owned and held at brokers, our real estate owned out-right.... is not actually legally ours. Webb states legal loop holes have been made so that settling agencies legally own these assets and, in case of a massive leveraged derivative meltdown, can legally take possession of our 'owned' property.
Have you listened to Webb? Can you comment on the loop hole he has identified wrt taking possession of owned property in extreme financial situations?
