Ted Kahler I do have plans to continue. We are in our winter routine now, and there’s not a lot to post about. Will do an update on this rye and how long it lasts into the winter.
check out soil-man.com its a forum for guys like us trying to learn from each other about soil health, cover cropping, grazing..... its just a forum so you can post pictures of your family and farm, make a topic of something that worked or didn't work.. we got a couple good topics going already. its new so its a little slow right now.
I assume you are in MO.? are you milking cows? are you using grazing or covers for milk cows? I would say "winter" in MO. for us we would get a loss of gain grazing in the winter. lol
Jon Stevens Maple Grove Farms We are in Missouri, along I 70. Just grazing replacement heifers on covers for now. We have a confinement dairy operation with a creamery. Really starting to get in to the cover crops on our farm ground and looking for ways to implement livestock on to it. Visited Gabe brown this summer, And see a lot of merit in what he’s doing. I will have to check out your forum
