Nah, dope shit like this stopped ~2012.. not to say there aren't some fire tracks here and there but man '95-2010 had all the bangers before everything became trap and autotune
I couldn’t even imagine listening to todays “hip hop” in a club. Most shit was wack when this came out and went further and further down hill. This one’s a banner for sure. And Pharrell’s production is almost always banging, even when the vocalist/lyrics are sub par.
No Malice and Pusha T still put out solid albums, tho. There is a track called "Shame the Devil" from a few years ago that show that together, Clipse still got that spark
Reginald Westbrook gtfo of here with ur "hip hops dead im old as fuck so i buttfuck my self to mob deep and eazy e because gucci man & kanye west make music that i dont like & imma go cry on the internet after"
Reginald Westbrook Hip-hop didn't die you are just a close minded fuck. Like seriously that is the dumbest fucking thing to say ever, it evolves, ALL MUSIC CHANGES. Shit doesn't die it became a little different, now adapt and quit your bitching.
One of the best Hip Hop albums of the era. I was at Fort Hood as a soldier. I remember picking this cd up at the PX. By the time I got to my boys crib I knew it was a classic. I have no idea what it is to be influenced by what's hot, or what other people thought. If I think it's dope to me, that's all I ever needed. At this point I own a lot of music. I own all of the Clipse albums and most of their mixtapes. I don' t anything by Nelly or anyone out of that camp. Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's good, especially in this era.
That's dope but what you mean by that, Nelly is trash? I prefer pusha t over Nelly but Nelly was an absolute monster in his time when it came to making hits. I wouldn't even compare the two..just not sure why you chose Nelly to make him seem like he was garbage
A good song isn't just something you listen to, it puts you in another world. I'm not sure what world this song put me in back in the day, but I liked it. :)
Dam I hear that beat brings me back to my early 20’s in the early 2000’s partying real late nights on Friday n Saturday nights back in the day NORE Nothin etc ❤️ and miss that era of hip hop, r n b and some of the rap. Today’s stuff I’m personally just not feelin
This song has crossed my mind every once in awhile. I decided life couldn't move on until I found it! I just remembered the da da da part! Haha! Thank you Clipse!
im still doing mix cds. Im making a 2002 hip hop hits mix cd double album right now. I already made 1999 hip hop hits mix. ima do 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, and 2003. Rap started to get a lil suspect around 2004. but it was at its peak from 1997-2003
