We talked about their work, how they got started, and their new book: "The Magic of MinaLima". Great interview. They are great graphic designers. They brought joy to our childhood. Without them wizarding world would be incomplete. They brought life into the harry potter books and movies.
Wow, super cool that they made this book about their own wizarding journey! I like it that they didn't do it just about the props, but also about their personal experience!

It was so interesting to hear them talk about the importance not just of the quality of the design, but of the integrity of the design - whether the copy text on a chocolate frog card, or an article on page seven of the Daily Prophet, every detail, even if the audience never sees it, was important in making the world of Harry Potter feel real. Their work transcends just being great graphic design to being awesome scenic/prop design as well. Great design, period.
These artists are a continuous source of inspiration. The Wizarding World in the films wouldn't be what it is without them 🥰

As a “mid level newbie” designer, MinaLima has served as a source of inspiration for me. They always say no one spots good designs but they do spot bad ones. Their designs are so breathtaking and detailed it’s unreal. MinaLima’s designs are so cohesive with the Wizarding World that you can’t help but be transported into the magic. For me that is the greatest accomplishment for any designer, being able to successfully convey emotions, beauty and storytelling in a piece. Thank you Peter for this opportunity to have a glimpse inside the brilliance!

Mina Lima is just great! Their arts suit Harry Potter world so well. They are unique, unexpected, but simple. Mira and Eduardo complete each other like their name.
They really do help bring the magic of the books to life and I love how they always acknowledge all the work everyone put in to make the movies magical

It’s so clear how much thought went into every single design. They added so much magic to the films.
MinaLima breathes a new life into the stories and their art style is so playful! It's been a joy reading their illustrated versions of Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets.

I have to agree that the most complicated props for them to design always end up to as my favorites, like the Maraunders Map. That’s why I love their designs. The dedication to detail adds so much beyond the books and even the movies. The HP world definitely wouldn’t be the same without their designs. Really great interview Peter!

Just bought my first Minalima book. They are huge artists! We owe them a lot!
I know it was super simple but I loved that they magically appeared with such enthusiasm. Their answers were all just so thoughtful.
They're so adorable! I just love the chemistry they have, it's so heart-warming to see them and hear about how well they complement each other. And their designs are magnificent. I also love the details they incorporate everywhere, such as the 70% Croakoa :D

I love how much they think about the character when dressing the set and making props. It really makes all the difference for the fans.

WOW Peter this was fantastic!!!! I enjoy all the extra outings you take us on and the great job you do to make the videos as if we are there with you, thank you. Miraphora and Eduardo are extremely talented artists with amazing imaginations that have brought the WW of Harry Potter to life but other literary works as well like The Wonderful Wizard of OZ. The prints I've collected from them are so much more gorgeous in person, and the illustrated Harry Potter books with interactive features are on a whole next level all by themselves. I look forward to seeing what these brilliant artists will create in the future.

I've watched all the Potter movies though generally, I am not a fan. But I can't resist buying this book because it just packs so much detail, intricately woven in every page that is just charged with Mina and Lima's love and dedication for their work! Honestly, just by appreciating every page of it makes me want to rewatch the whole series again!

They're very lovely! I'm a graphic designer as well and yes, I studied graphic design because I was so inspired by MinaLima. I used to recreate their props when I was in high school, and wondering if someday I can get a chance to work on film like they do. Surely they will always be a very important part in my professional life. Thanks Peter for doing this interview with them!
