I have been a subscriber of Meytall for one reason. Not because she's an attractive young lady, not because of her playing ability, which is as good as it gets. My reason, because no matter what song, genre or difficulty, she's always smiling and loving the art. She is an inspiration and a great role model. Keep up the great video's and continue to love the art form.
This bothers me. Her skills, yes, undeniable. Her smile, showing us just how distracted she is, dissapointing. Every time I try to watch her anymore I am thoroughly impressed by the idea that she is doing this for the ego trip. Not the music. I want to see her lost in the music, completely mesmerized by the work. Professionalism. Not distracted by the camera. (or is it, whoever is holding the camera) We shouldn't be watching because she is pretty or hot. Sorry for the rant.

I teach at senior high schools in Japan, and there are a LOT of girls who drum (seriously, more girls than guys drum in Japan!) - I show them your videos to get them psyched up, and they love it every time!

She plays all of her covers excellent however this song is by far my favorite. Everything is perfect, the sound character of her DW drums is incredible, powerful, punchy, beautiful, excellent timing and skills.
Oh my God that fill at 6:30 was SO clean and effortless. So nice to see the motion difference between the rolls and final crash hit where she hits with the fulcrum instead of just the wrists. Amazing cover overall!!! Really enjoyable
Just watched the video, very good but typical rock drummer using matched grip.quite possibly her good looks helps, and of course her enthusiasm too. I've played for several decades, took lessons in high school, and enjoy all the greats; Peart, Bonham, Gadd, Palmer, Cobham to name a few. Also appreciate all types of music, jazz, r and b, rock, etc. Now, for something extrodinary, listen to any of several buddy Rich's Solo s from the mid 19 seventys, and what he does with far fewer drums. For desert, Google Michael shreve' s solo,( drummer for Santana) played at Woodstock 1969. As fun as it was, What I just saw doesn't hold a candle to either of the 2 mentioned before.

Progressive metal is not as fast as regular metal so, the drummer can be a more laid-back kinda drum play, but still, you need to focus more on alternative fills, tempo adjustments, and so on. ^_^
I know I've watched this vid a million time with noting but inspiration but at the same time knowing I'll never be what she is. Awesome talent, very impressive, love to watch, very easy on the eyes. Wish I could hammer the skins like this woman!
