Don’t know where this was supposed to have happened. Arson is a criminal offense and would have been prosecuted by a county or state attorney, not Michael’s counsel.
Is it legal to set traps for self-defense where you live? Who do you think the law is on? Does the farm owner have the right to set traps like this? This story makes me curious about the laws in different areas.
Setting traps for self-defense? That’s a slippery slope. Laws vary, but self-defense should never cross into unlawful actions. If this was legal, it would set a dangerous precedent.
I like the story. But I would rather see Pictures of what is actually going on instead of looking at that 1 picture that moves and gives me a bad headache. I understand he's trying to Make sure his property is safe so I don't blame him for the things he does. Thank you
Okay, old John boy is an idiot. He had them dead to rights, he had a shotgun in hand, and yet let them get away. The next day his barn gets burned down because his security system didn't go off until the fire was well under way. If this was a real story, I'd have to say he got what he earned. Idiot....
He should have put up cameras on day one
"That's no longer property damage. That's criminal."??? ...wow... I believe malicious property damage is also criminal.
You have a trespassing problem on your farm?
Buy a donkey.
He will turn your worries into funny stories to tell in your old days. 😁

Your property you can do what you want with it
Not for self defense but, yes for animals of most sorts. There are rules like having signs and in some areas, in fenced private land.
If warning signs and trespassing signs are visible (and they’re trespassing on the property, I’d say it’s kinda like “swim at your own risk” signs

I would like to have a collection of pics throughout the story.
