"Greed" | a STORY Told Through DANCE

Hey guys! First & foremost, I hope you guys liked the video & were left inspired!!!!
Second, we didn't want to choreograph ANOTHER dance video, we wanted to tell a STORY. Something different. Something challenging. So.... we decided to add a rope in the picture!
The reason we decided to call this piece, "Greed" is because throughout the dance, we are fighting to defeat the greed between us while dealing with the temptation of things that give us temporary happiness. There are a ton of pros/cons that come with a relationship, but when is too much? Too much to the point that it creates an internally unhealthy self. So when you add "abuse" to the picture, how do you get out of it?! Arn't you held back by the thought of the happiness/positives of the relationship that came before any abuse?
We feel a ton of people can relate to this story and we hope to inspire those who are in a scenario like this, that you CAN defeat it!!! Sooooo when Jade throws the rope on me & walks away, this is her defeating that greed and finally building the courage to say goodbye to what came with that relationship, abuse.

BEHIND THE SCENES & HOW WE CREATED THE VIDEO COMING VERY VERY SOON!
*** Funny thing is, Jade and I choreographed this piece in about 3 hour, in between another gig! With our mindset/ storyline being on the same page, we got a studio from basically 11-2am, red bull energy drink game strong, and out came this magic! The reason I believe Jade & I dance so well together is because we are both feeding off one another energy, at the same time adding our acting into the choreography to help create a whole different level of commitment! Its a true pleasure dancing beside one another!!

I'm watching this video six years after your post. Stunning! It's super hard to believe that you choreographed this piece in three hours! Looks like you read each other's mind, intuiting movement before it happened! That 's typically the product of years of partnership. Technical mastery, incredible synchrony + total emotional presence! Yes, disturbing in parts, but real. Riveting!
So why is nobody talking about the fact that this was choreographed in 3 hours and was filmed at midnight!?

It’s wild how my life actually told this story of having to constantly fight to get out of the grips of people trying to pull you down and keep you small. NEVER SETTLE AND KEEP FIGHTING. You are seen. You are heard. You will triumph over all of those things. Don’t give up. 😘
I'm so happy that I got the meaning of the dance right. I was thinking that they were being greedy with each other but loving each other at the same time. It looked like they were struggling with each other and with the things they were doing or want to do. I think I kinda got it right.
Yeah, to my perspective it's an unhealthy relationship where they are both suffering but cannot put themselfs to leave until the woman relizes she is stronger than his grip and steps away. Love can be very painful and others use tension as an excuse but once you find your own light, it won't matter how deciving the other partner is. It's a truly fantastic dance, full of superlative emotion and connection

This piece reminds me of a book or movie or show that you watch over and over because you find something fascinating or beautiful about it every time, this is the 3rd time I've watched this piece today and probably 17th time this week...and it simply gets more beautiful

I love Jade! She’s an incredible dancer and tells stories so well through dance.
I interpreted the story as a toxic co-dependent relationship. The female dancer is trying to break free from the relationship, while sometimes willingly allowing herself to be tried to him (literally). While the male dancer does everything in his power to keep her tied to him. She finally breaks free at the very end.
I relate to a guy worrying about himself and being Greedy and treating me as if I was a trophy and not a human. This is touching to me. I didn't want to leave him but I had to

I dont even have words. Im speechless...You would think that they cant top their live performance at Willdabeasts event, but they managed to do it! These guys are truly beasts! I cant believe you made this in 3 hours and you know what i am so touched by this number. I havent stopped watching it. The backdrop of the night sky city and the greyish empty room make the two dancers stand out perfectly.
This was beautiful. I felt all the emotions being portrayed. I hardly ever, in my personal capacity, understand stories when it comes to dance but i got this the first time. Wow!
Wow this hit me hard. Such a powerful and inspiring piece. I never thought a dance could get me so emotional and it's not even my first time watching it! I always find stories told through dance and art the most interesting and effective because everyone can draw their own message from them. I may not be in the same exact situation you showed but I was able to relate it to something I'm going through and made me see things from a different light. I'm seriously beyond proud of you and jade! I've watched the both of you for a few years now and it's amazing to watch you grow.
