My Afropolitan Diary ep 1: • My Afropolitan Diary E...
It is wonderful to see adventurous, intelligent and beautiful young ladies living their lives in different parts of the world.
As a French Black woman, i find this video very interesting and informative. But I'm surprised they did not know Speaking French was a requisite to live here. French language is almost a national treasure. Also I wonder in which industries they work and where in Paris they live.
🙄
All of you ladies are beautiful, but especially you Sutanya !! I'm a native New Yorker from the BK and an older gentlemen as well. I must say that you are extremely attractive and very eloquent. I enjoy you guys videos. Thank you
Marvelous Footage! This is giving me life! Glad I found it.
I love these videos. I want to see more!
Thank you! Next city is Toronto.
Toronto videos are up!
Maya is such a beautiful and intelligent young woman. She carries herself with such poise. I appreciate her checking her ignorant friend
I have serious earring envy. I moved to Florida 2 years ago and cut my hair very short, because it's so hot. I hoped to be able to wear hypoallergenic earrings, but I can't. I can only wear gold, so I have only one dangly pair of earrings to wear. My ears have been pierced since 1971, so, this problem is not going away. I guess I can say I have a "capsule earring wardrobe".
Kind of like the black version of "Sex In The City". Four successful attractive women having a talk. I wonder, are they single?
Thanks ladies!❤️
You guys are enjoying life. I wonder how folks plan for the golden years in Paris. Can you do a show on that?
Eyitemi looks like a more chocolate version of actress Anika Noni Rose, anyone else see the resemblance?
What card did Sutanya say she has that enables her to stay for 10 years?
I believe she said titre de sejour. It's pretty much a 10 year resident card. Kind of equivalent to a U.S green card. www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F2208
J'aime bien les jolie femme black.
On dit noir
I want to go to the US to work but I don't speak English, do you think people will hire me ?
You would have to speak enough to hold a job and also depending on what kind of job it is. You could get one depending on the job market where you are at an the communication skills required.
yes,but it will probably be labor work
Lol, you guys really don’t understand french humour
I find it very strange that being away from home you girls hang out only between black women. I guess it’s just in these videos, but still... Do you pick your friends based on skinhead colour or something?
This is sooooo silly haha. Ofc, people gravitate towards people they have similarities with: culture, experiences perspectives etc but they definitely just do NOT JUST hang out with black girls/women/people and just pick friends based off of skin colour. SIDE EYEEEEEEE
Huda Abdalla well isn’t that the image they are giving? I mean I could understand if a majority of their group was black.. but all of them is « communautarism » or whatever the english word is. If they don’t speak french too well and one of their group of friends is english speaking.. there are tons of nationalities to hang out with in Paris, and it’s highly unlikely you’ll end up just with black people unless you made it on purpose and you judge people on their skin colour..
@@augustinf what they are showing you online is literally a snippet of their life/reality and i think its pretty wild to judge them based off of short videos.
also man, being black anywhere in europe is not easy, ESPECALLY IN FRANCE and if they choose to hang around with people they can relate to in so many ways and share their experiences as a person of colour with other POC's then so be it.
Huda Abdalla I don't agree at all... I'm parisian and I can tell you that an afroamerican in paris would be really popular in any social group. The swedish girl is just hanging out with them for the cultural experiment, the afroamericans are just closing themselves to their environment.
Why this concept of Afropolitan became popular? It's really a classist thing meaning upper middle class/rich black, especially upper middle class AA. All blacks can't identify with it
At times, one has to not constantly search for the chance to relate, sometimes one must simply listen and learn from the perspectives of others objectively, and share.
Old concept from Caribbean diaspora. Negropolitan and after afropolitan
